For those looking for a hard drive enclosure - picked up the Rocketfish 3.5" enclusure on sale from Best Buy today. Put a Seagate 7200.10 250gb 16mb cache drive into it and it works great. THe same drive was in a Mad Dog enclusure and wouldn't work with my VIP 622.

I have a Mad Dog external enclusure with a 250GB Seagate drive, ST3160023A, with a 16mb cache. I got it to transfer one movie one time to the drive, then back to the 622. Since then, it just throws me an error when I try to transfer anything else. Tried cycling the DVR, unplugging, restarting...

Save some $ and get the Harmony 360... I have it and it does everything that the original 622 remote can do. Controls my Denon receiver and all other devices. Only thing I don't care for is the volume sensitivity and the "click" of the arrow buttons for changing channels.
