I ran the receiver through the coaxial input and it seems to be okay so far.

I just got this receiver on Monday and I am having the same problem. I called Dish and they act like they've never heard of this. If I watch through the HDMI connection directly connected to the TV, it's fine. If I watch through the DVD recorder, the audio is out of sync on HD channels only...
