    I have just bought a used Hughes HL receiver to capture OTA signal. I do not have a salellite dish. I use cable. Does anyone know if I can combine the cable feed and the OTA feed in to the HL and do a channel search and pick up all of the stations?

    Reply Thanks for the answers. I was in a Best Buy-Magnolia store section in Raleigh last week looking at a Pioneer Elite and the sales rep told me basically the same thing. He gets a better HD signal using OTA than with either cable or satellite.

    Dish or Direct-Types of HD Channels

    I do not care about movie channels or sports packages. What I do want is HD for channels like Travel, Discovery, History, HGTV, local stations, Fox, MSN, PBS, etc. Basically all of the typical lower 90 channles that you find on cable. Who will give me the most? Disk or Direct. Thanks
