    WFTV-HD not on 9.1?

Looks like I put up an antenna in Feb then. There is no reason to encrypt and I do not want another box on each of my tvs pulling power. all it does is complicate my remote setup and another thing to hear complaints from my wife. Roku rocks!

RR Lightning (40mbit / 4mbit) Coming to Central Florida this summer

How does thins really give me anything? It is still a shared bandwidth so brighthouse could just put twice as many homes on the circuit to share the 40MBIT service as what they put on the 20 Mbit service. I may get added performance at 2AM but.....

    Digital Cable/QAM

Exactly my point! The law states that BHN must rebroadcast particular stations in clear. BHN will not support or promote it as a product and in fact goes out of it's way to conceal the fact that a STB is not needed. They also conceal that there is a level of service below (and less costly)...

    Digital Cable/QAM

So instead of complying with the spirit of the mandate and offer a service, BHN reluctantly complies with the law.

    Digital Cable/QAM

Nobody said that Brighthouse was obligated to notify of changing the channel lineup. Nobody said that Brighthouse offers and "clear QAM" product. They are required by law not to encrypt local channels. However Brighthouse does choose not to notify customers of moving locations around. Qam...

    Too Many Duplicate Channels?

It is a waste in bandwidth. They are choosing to waste bandwidth rather than supply STB to all their current analog only customers. It is all a choice of how brighthouse wants to balance the needs of the customer and the needs of the shareholder. In this case the choice was to waste...

    Too Many Duplicate Channels?

I use a QAM tuner on my Media center PC. Some of the channels are put on the wire up to 3 times. Once analog, once as digital SD and once as HD. I find the same broadcast at 3 different frequencies on the wire. They do waste a lot of bandwidth.

    Digital Cable/QAM

I have been using a QAM tuner on my PC and have 2 HD sets with built in QAM. Bright house has about 42 un encrypted digital channels on the wire. Below is the lineup that I get on the QAM tuners. CH76 - 1 View WOFLDT 135 2-13-5 True CH76 - 2 View WESHDT 102 3-10-2 True CH76 - 12 View WESHDT2 103...

How do you get competent support from Brighthouse?

Steve, With all respect, all cable companies are required by the FCC to not encrypt the local broadcast channels. However this is not what I am asking. The title of the thread is very clear. Does anyone know how to get past the first line of telephone support script readers and get to...

How do you get competent support from Brighthouse?

Wow did I ever start something! I looked the following morning and did not see any response and have not checked back till now. I thought I was very clear in my statement but I will try to improve. I have two digital High Def TVs with tuners that will handle both OTA and unencrypted Digital...

How do you get competent support from Brighthouse?

With the advent of Digital OTA programing I have not use a cable company for several years before moving to Ocala FL. I am now 70miles away from the transmitters and need to use Brighthouse for reception. I have 2 Qam digital sets and a Media Center PC all hooked to the cable without a set top...
