I never get any "inside" info, so I had to post this. An electrical contractor that I know is doing work for Echostar in Sioux City, and he has been told that he has to be done no later than March 6th(that is a friday). I am thinking that must be the day that they are planning on going live...

i got a message on my tv tonight saying that my smart card was about to expire, and told me to call an 888 number or go to dishnetwork.com/smartcard . since i have not received anything in the mail, i called the number. the csr told me that i should have received the card in the mail by now...

no these channels were taken down because of a contract dispute, now they are back, after 5 weeks.

I did not realize how much that i watched them till now. I will be bummed when Rave is gone, I watch that one a lot. This just stinks.

I lost the VOOM and other channels last night too, in Sioux City. The channels that did come in on 129 were showing a strength of like 12. I am thinking that I need to re-aim, it wasnt raining that hard.

I might wait till the last season comes out on dvd now

yea we are in an instant gratification society. up until a month or so ago dish had something like 4 times more hd. now direct has sci fi first(and granted a lot more) but now so many of you are pissing and moaning about switching. My advice to people is to switch or learn to be patient...
