I have a HWS and a single tuner OTA adapter and have audio/video breakups on my Joey for at least a year where it is not worth watching. I think the only way I get a clear picture is to join a broadcast my HWS. Actually haven't tried that in awhile so not sure if that still works.

I'm having the same experience on my Joey attached to a HWS.

Tried a front red button reset but that didn't change anything. Sounds like a another software upgrade that caused an unintended problem.

In the last day or two I no longer to type in a 5 digit channel number such as a regional sports network e.g. 41221. Instead the HWS goes to the nearest channel to 4122. This also happens on my Joey. Any help would be appreciated.

I hope folks realize you are joking because I'm sure there are many who think Dish needs a new, specially built satellite for providing 4k service. Based on the schedule provided, this would have the Echostar 18 satellite in service around the first of September.

Dish comes out with a Hopper App that provides cloud services for subscribers to store recorded programming. Dish certainly would charge a monthly fee for this cloud service that would go up the more storage amount one would use. Not sure if this would get into copyright lawsuits or not.

If I remember correctly, there are 5 unused spotbeam transponders on the spotbeam satellite at 119 W so they could use some or all of the freed up space for that. Not sure how many more markets that Dish needs to provide the locals in HD but this is certainly an option for this space.

If you look on page 6 of the FCC narrative, footnote 16, it states that Dish and DirecTV entered into a coordination agreement for the 110 W location on September 12, 2014. Obviously we don't know the details of that agreement but it does confirm there was an agreement.

I currently sling to my Kindle Fire HD (not HDX) from my Hopper with Sling (HWS) without problems. Had to sideload the Dish app to my Kindle but that is fairly easy. I use to have a 722 receiver and sling adapter and it worked with the Kindle Fire HD as well.

If Dish needs spotbeam capacity on the WA, E-14 has the capability at 119W to use five more TPs for spotbeams. So Dish could start phasing out the SD duplicates of HD channels such as the premiums and the AT250 channels to free up TPs for spotbeam use.

It's funny how folks can argue about player salaries affecting TV contracts. What they imply is that if the costs go down or stay the same (including player salaries) for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL or the various college football and basketball conferences they would ask for less for the TV rights...

If you understood basic economics you would realize that the what the players make has little to nothing to do with how much sports on TV costs. Professional leagues and big time college sports (i.e., the development minor leagues for the NFL and NBA) are going to maximize their TV revenues...
