    Miami is in the Western (?) Arc, 110,119, and 129. Miami HD Locals are on 110. It always confuses me that the most southeastern DMA gets the Western Arc. Walt

    According to the tech that moved my wing dish last week, West Palm gets Eastern Arc, but the Miami DMA gets 110/119 and 129. Our locals are on 110/119. Most of the other HD is on 129. Seemed weird to me. Walt

    If you use a HDMI-DVI adapter, you will have to run audio cables also, since DVI doesn't support digital audio. HDMI-DVI adapter is how i'm using my ViP612, and it works fine. Walt

    I'd suggest calling and playing CSR roulette. I also upgraded to the HD Ultimate package with AEP. Dish wanted to charge me $299 for a third 211, but dishstore.net sells them for $169, so I'll probably go that route next week. Walt

    I got my two leased 811s upgraded to 211s today. Also got a wing Dish for 61.5 sat. No charge, just called and asked. I wanted a third 211, but was told I'd have to pay $299 for it. I live on Social inSecurity, so had to pass. Did get my ViP612 connected finally. Walt

    As I understand it, Echostar owns the FCC license for the 61.5 slot where AMC=14 was scheduled to go. They would have had all the command and control responsibilities for the bird. Therefore Echostar had to petitiion the FCC for permission to de-orbit. Walt

    I noticed they uplinked WLRN2, which hasn't been on the air in over a year. And I have yet to see WPBT1 EPG, but they uplinked 2 and 3. The only time I saw WPBT1(PBS) EPG, the info was for a West Coast NBC affiliate. Walt

    811 Local Digital Mapping Problem

    My two 811s both refuse to recognize our local CBS station, WFOR, analog 4, digital 22. It will scan the digital channel, show 100% signal, but won't read the remap info. Weirdest thing is the EPG will show the coreect programming for the station at 22-1 (no call letters, just channel no.)...

    811 and DVI input

    I've got both hooked up to my Sammy, and HDMI/DVI connection looks better on the Hi-Def channels, and about equal on the SD channels. You have to remember that component connection is analog, and HDMI/DVI is the only digital output from the STB. Of course, OTA HD looks the best. Walt
