    Uploading recorded shows from the 722 to the Hopper

    I have tried direct USB to USB transfer from 722k to Hopper and it does not work, only option is to transfer your shows to an EHD and then upload them to the Hopper. Its an easy process, just takes about 24 hours to do.

    Best set up suggestions

    I say get either 2 722's and leave one in single mode as its going to charge you the same monthly fee as a 612 should if im not mistaken, or if you are willing to pony up for an external hard drive get 1 722 and get a 211 and throw a ext-hd on it. Stay away from the 612 its garbage IMO for what...

    722 or 722k for upgrades?

    You people amaze me, I can't remember such nit picky customers...seriously if its that big of a deal to have the 21.0 remote from the 722k im sure the tech will have one on his truck to make you feel all warm and fuzzy...If you were using your OTA on your previous receiver and they show up with...

    dish mount adopter

    If you have a flat roof you can use a non-pen mount and drill out a second set of foot plate holes, other than that you are out of luck.

    UPGRADE SD DVR TO A 612 WITH 1000.4 NOT A GOOD IDEA?

    Its gonna be tricky to point it as mentioned before, can you possibly use a non-pen mount in front of your boat when it is in the slip or something more solid to mount to?

    The switch .2 / .4 WA

    Lol you actually think that Charlie gave to squirts about what dish was being used? No, Maybe a few EVP's would have cared and said something about it, but things are so different from region to region that I doubt Charlie even knew what was going on. This is Dish we are talking about, not a...

    600 Feet of RG11 DPP Twin -> DPP44

    IMO the customer is not worth the headache you are going to be dealing with, with cable runs that long and the non-standard equip being used, and your lack of knowledge of products being used they are going to probably haunt you for a long long time.

    Comcast DVR vs. Dish DVR (functional differences)

    The OP is looking at switching from comsuck to Dish, I doubt he knows automatically the difference in what types of channels can be recorded and cant with the 4 tuner setup on the 722k. So no I do not think that everyone reading this thread knows that kind of info, if they did they would not be...

    Comcast DVR vs. Dish DVR (functional differences)

    Not to throw a wrench in your statement, but the "4 recordings" are 2 local channels and 2 channels of any variety at the same time, it is not 4 channels regardless of local or non-local channels as 2 of the recordings are OTA ONLY.

    Does this support assessment make sense?

    You may be able to get away with not having to go to EA if you can some how get a non-sub contractor tech to come out to your house and bring with them either a Dish500/1000+ mast...the mast is a few inches longer than a dish 1000.2 mast and MAY get you a few more years worth of decent signal...

    600 Feet of RG11 DPP Twin -> DPP44

    Anything over a 200-250ft run you are going to need amplify the line more than likely, 600ft is just insane on RG11 IMO. I doubt the DPP44 is going to have the power to push signal 250ft on RG11 alone...good luck finding info about this kinda setup, its not a common one by any stretch. IIRC in...

    Comcast DVR vs. Dish DVR (functional differences)

    Correct me if I am wrong, but NO you can not rewind a program that is on when you come home if your receiver is in sleep/standby mode. If you run to the store (leaving your receiver on and your TV off), and come back and turn your tv on and wanna rewind the program you can, however you can only...

    Need Help Simplifying a System

    Honestly the issue you are going to run into is the LG HTS. I would suggest just getting a cheap regular Yamaha HTS, a regular blue-ray player and that will make life sooo much easier. Run your a/v sources to the tv, then run either an optical audio cable or a set of red/white rca speaker cables...

    It's Official! Say Goodbye To The 1000.4 WA

    This is just Dish doing what Dish does best. I can't tell you how many times they have done this over this past several years, from LNB supply issues to receiver availability issues, the only thing consistent with Dish is change. Some may say its the cost of one LNB over another, some may say...
