Yup and due to Setanta failure on Friday to pay the EPL, ESPN picked up the rights to 2009-2010 season in the UK, and the 2010-2013 rights too. It just a matter of time before ESPN gets the US rights.

NESNHD always have all their games on but I noticed the other nite, has the game went on the video started to lag like E* was bit starving the feed to add another HD channel on the transponder maybe for another game had to switch to SD feed.

The worst is yesterday and today's semifinal games are available to all in HD and ESPN is not using the HD feed, while almost every country in europe has at least 1 provider with the HD feed. UEFA sell the TV rights per country they make more money that way.

You right they don't expire this off season only after 09/10 season, but I should of said bidding for the 2010-2013 starts this off season with the winner announce before the end of next season. They only offer the seasons in 3 year blocks.

Don't count on the EPL being on FSC for long, ESPN will bid on this once it ends this off season, and sub license games to Setanta. Rumor has it they will bid close to 100million a season, and also on the spainsh commentry rights for ESPN Desportes.

I'm happy NESN actually had 2 HD feed this past week at the same time one for the Redsox and one for the Bruins :D

Just an FYI, NESNHD Plus HD is on channel 446 for thoses who missed it, hopefully it's on 446 and not jumping around from now till Bruins season ends.

If E* had lost all theses channels that would be closed to almost half their subs jumping ship, and that would of been suicide.
