Really? A bridge goes from one side of a river to the other.
In otherwords, you got screwed, taken, bamboozled, hoodwinked, ripped off, etc.
Recently had the pleasure of going to a customers appartment to replace the flat cables. I didn't do the job for other reasons. Can't go into here. :) Anyway, we have 12 workorders from DirecTv and who knows how many internal ones since April for this guy. Why? Because he continues to slam...
If you have H21s, then there is no second tuner, thus no need for a second line.
A SWM won't do you any good in this case as your already using a single line to each box.
Now, if you have HR2xs, then that is a different story.
FWIW, I don't think the diplexing part should have been included as it's not supported by DirecTv. Could cause some folks some headaches down the road.
No need for an additional powerstrip.
You take the power cord currently connected to the HR21 and plug that into the AM21. There is a pigtail on the AM21 that then plugs into the HR21s power input plug.
Any current DirecTv ODU can receive either Mpeg2 or Mpeg4 transmissions. Mpeg2 vs Mpeg4 is simply the compression used.
Don't confuse that with Ku vs Ka bands used for transmission.
The basic 18" odu will be around for quite some time to come.
