It plays as 16x9 on my pioneer recorder and my PC. The setting on the HDDVD is correct as 16x9. Not sure what else to do....My settings on all is 16x9, tv, and both players.

I recorded an HD program on my Pioneer recorder and it was recorded in the 16x9 format and plays as such on the recorder but when I put it in the HDDVD player it plays as 4.3 format. I have checked the picture size in settings and it is correct as 16x9 and also have tried the resolution button...

Curious Just wondering....I can understand that they would want to go back and release some of the old titles in the new format....but what about the new releases? I don't see any newer movies....example; like when they released MI 3 or Superman Returns...are they just not on the list...
