on D*, people got their local sports channel for free, but had to pay to get the out of market channels, but even then, the major sports were blacked out on the out of market channels - you had to buy the various league subscriptions to get those. But the local sports teams were available...

I only have 2 reasons to keep my D* subscription along side of Voom right now. One is Fox Sport Ohio (have to have my Cavs games when the season starts). The other is the DVR. I'll be thrilled if this rumor pans out. Now where is that DVR
