I'm a Happy camper...have Voom for 3 full months now. Install went perfect,rebooted only twice,no billing problems,and get all my locals. Yes,I am waiting for the upgrade also. So if it takes two more weeks...I'll wait. ;)

I had a green signal before my installer called to activate. If you have a good signal it should be green.Everytime I power up receiver I have a red signal for a few seconds,then goes to green.

Get RG6 or RG6QS the wire you have now is too thin. :)

I'd do it myself then call them.Why bother with the installer if you can do it!!

I installed the whole thing myself,when the installer showed up he called voom while I connected the receiver. I have a signal of 97. He said it was the sweetest install he ever done. Gone in 35 minutes. I don't see a problem with customers adding additional receivers,if they are inclined to do so.

The dish is the same as the original DTV dishes.I have one up instead of the VOOM dish. Yes,you can paint them ,use a flat exterior paint...make sure you wipe down the dish with a deglosser/cleaner first.The paint will stick just fine then. I have one painted for 3 years now.
