If we can for sure keep our receivers for OTA

I have two that I will be willing to trade for a Dishnetwork 811 HD receiver. Any interested party PM me.

E* is now part-owner of Voom 21HD channels

If it was an "exclusive distribution deal" don't you think you would have heard about it. i.e "InHD only on Cable" "NFL Sunday Ticket only on Directv" "Voom programming only on Dishnetwork." Haven't heard that one. The Dolans would be foolish to limit their HD programming to one...

E* is now part-owner of Voom 21HD channels

It's probably a year and a half from May 1, 2005 :D If they aren't carried by any other providers before then, Chuck and little Jimmy will get in another pissing contest and shut 'er down. Larry the Cable Guy : Git er done! Jimmy the Putz : Shut er down! :D

That's why I left them in the first place.

It's Official - VOOM ON DISH NETWORK!

Agreed nnicko. I'm glad Voom still lives on in some way but there is still hope. Dishnetwork agreement is not exclusive so once the cable companies pick up on it, Dish will not be the HD leader. I had e* and won't go back. If your a new customer all is well but don't expect anything from them...

VOOM is TOAST, Let's move on !

You all will be better now 'cause Dishnetwork will begin carrying 10 Voom channels now and the remainder of the 21 in 2006.

DISH to carry all 21 in 2006

Hopefully this will motivate the cable and other DBS companies to do the same.

It's Official - VOOM ON DISH NETWORK!

I will patiently wait untill Comcast picks up the Voom programming. I was with Dish for many years (in fact I left them for Voom) and I'm not going back.

    VOOM Shutdown Update

Is the news going to be so good that I need to cancel my comcast install on Friday? Come on Scott you can give us more than that. If anyone knows, it's you.

    New Comcast commercial, Voom included

If you're leasing the boxes from voom, you will show them your voom statement and sign a 16 month agreement. They can't pick up a leased box, that would be stealing. * To qualify for this offer you must agree to subscribe to a qualifying level of Comcast service for 16 consecutive months...

What about the 30" dish delivered to Charlie Dolan?

Sean, You misspelled his last name, It's L-O-S-E-R.

    From this mornings SKY Report....

None of the existing providers seem to be chomping at the bit to acquire Voom programming. I speculate, I stress speculate, that for Voom programming to survive, C. Dolan will have to launch a new private DBS company. Hopefully, the second time around he will be able to see this venture take off.

    Charlie Chat and Voom 21

I would put more faith in believing a miracle might happen to save Voom than I would E* or D* adding Voom's 21. If no one is out their to pick up the programming on May 1, how long do you think they will continue to invest in the Voom 21?

FaxUpdate April 6, 2005: Chuck Dolan Eyes More Time for VOOM

All D* will offer is the HD locals via satellite. What do you think the 1500 HD channels are? It will probably be the summer of 2008 before some will get any HD locals through D*.

    John Malone comments on VOOM

All I said was that it is probably closer to 65,000 than you think. I didn't say that it was 65,000. It has been a little over a month since those numbers were last reported. TYORK recently posted that they do at least 100 Voom installs a month in her half of Indiana. They deinstall maybe 5...

    John Malone comments on VOOM

46,000 subs was last quarter's numbers. The new numbers will be due out soon and it is probably closer to 65,000 than you think.

Dolan to invest $400M in Voom

Nothing irritates me more than someone who can not admit that their wrong. Rickster is going on my ignore list.

    Got HD?

I just wish I had a few million to invest with Chuck. I wouldn't hesitate to jump on board.

Cablevision Chairman To Use Cash, Stock To Fund Voom

JL, Wouldn't that go for any statement that that has been quoted and used on this forum? Other than it comes from a reliable reporter/publication, thats the only proof that we're ever offered.
