If it was an "exclusive distribution deal" don't you think you would have heard about it. i.e "InHD only on Cable" "NFL Sunday Ticket only on Directv" "Voom programming only on Dishnetwork." Haven't heard that one. The Dolans would be foolish to limit their HD programming to one...

Agreed nnicko. I'm glad Voom still lives on in some way but there is still hope. Dishnetwork agreement is not exclusive so once the cable companies pick up on it, Dish will not be the HD leader. I had e* and won't go back. If your a new customer all is well but don't expect anything from them...

You all will be better now 'cause Dishnetwork will begin carrying 10 Voom channels now and the remainder of the 21 in 2006.

Hopefully this will motivate the cable and other DBS companies to do the same.

None of the existing providers seem to be chomping at the bit to acquire Voom programming. I speculate, I stress speculate, that for Voom programming to survive, C. Dolan will have to launch a new private DBS company. Hopefully, the second time around he will be able to see this venture take off.

I would put more faith in believing a miracle might happen to save Voom than I would E* or D* adding Voom's 21. If no one is out their to pick up the programming on May 1, how long do you think they will continue to invest in the Voom 21?

All D* will offer is the HD locals via satellite. What do you think the 1500 HD channels are? It will probably be the summer of 2008 before some will get any HD locals through D*.
