XM really knows how to kill a good thing!

Neither of them were headed to profitability. XM was closer than SIRIUS, though, having lower costs and more subscribers. SIRIUS needed this merger more. But to get back to the flavor of the actual thread, it was SIRIUS that ruined XM. The merger was more of a "hostile takeover" in relation...

Sirius Radio not compatible with Best of XM?

Older SIRIUS radios also can't support some new channels of SIRIUS (mostly Canadian, Hardcore Sports) and parental controls. It's pretty obivous that the hardware just doesn't support certain features (selectively hiding/showing channels, data protcols, something) that's integral to this...

    "CDLITE"

They are doing quanity over sound quality, yes. They are NOT doing quantity over quality compared to FM radio and easily worth the money for some, though. Different audiences, really, they aren't really designed to replace your iPod, but compliment them with with live news, talk sports and...

    "CDLITE"

XM and SIRIUS have much worse bandwidth restrictions as they only have 12MHz of spectrum to work with, and both of them broadcast the same signal three times (two offset by 4 seconds and 1 for terrestrial repeaters) in that spectrum so 4MHz "usable" before error correction, etc. XM and SIRIUS...

Satellite does Sirius and Xm use?

XM's satellites have both been replaced, XM-3 ("Rythm") and XM-4 ("Blues") are now live at 115 and 85 respectively, with XM-1 ("Rock") and XM-2 ("Roll") as in-orbit, powered-off spares in the same locations. The new satellites do not suffer from the failing panels. Sirius' satellites are also...

    Anyone else unhappy with XM?

XM has tons of great music channels. Unfortunatley, my XM radios never leave XM202. Also, Ron and Fez noon to 3.

    Pioneer Inno2

The INNO2 uses SureConnect for it's FM transmitter which I've heard can be pretty troublesome. If you have the oppourtunity to use an AUX-IN or casette adapater instead, you'll be much happier. And it will sound better, too. I believe the car kit comes with the casette adapater already as well.
