I used to use Canam with Evu. When you called you got the feeling they were screening calls, they always made you talk first before they'd say anything. I always felt 'creepy' with them.

My EVU is all fixed. It was the wire, but at the point right before it goes in the ground I pulled out the bad loop of wire, barrelled the 2 pieces together, worked perfectly so I slatherred on silicone all around, making a tight seal on it and all my connections for EVU. Next, back to...

What exactly does the 'X' satellite mean, instead of 82 or 91? Does it mean a sat was found, but it couldn't figure out what it was? Like if a storm moved the dish over? Can I still go to 'dish point' and point the 82 even if my check switch says 91 and 'X'? Then when I get a signal, on...

You mean plug one of the 82 lnb connectors into the receiver sat2 connector and one of the 91 lnb connector into the sat1 recvr connector? I thought that setup would make it so I couldnt get dual tuner capability. I have a spare dual lnb, so I guess I'll swap out the 82 lnb for the new one...

well, To get back on topic :) Do you think my problem, which still exists, is lnb or sw021 related? Since it shows on BOTH inputs, I am inclined to think the lnb went out, having sat for 18 months with no power and shorted or something. ideas? phil

Hi I just put evu back in Worked for a few hours but now it said chk switch and says: 82 port: 2b odd transponders missing I am running on old sw-21 switches. But they wouldn't both go out. Maybe an lnb died? Been a while since i did satellite so I am a bit lost...

It is not their fault that you moved outside their transponder range. They are a Canadian service. They do not and don't say, they will take US customers. If you moved to Florida, tough for you. Cancel service. That is like being mad at Dish Network when you move to Alaska and the service...

All expressvu stuff is gone, except on the dish pointing and FAQ pages. Did they stop doing expressvu orders? They still do have Star Choice stuff

I live in New England-Boston. I was about to post that my signal strength on 82 went UP about 6 points! So, I think they must have tweaked the signal, pointing it a bit more north.

Did EVU announce a firmware upgrade to make this happen? Did it happen? Mine still doesn't do it. Thanks

No, actually, it saved me a trip. My dad lost some bev hd in Florida, near Orlando. I guess this explains it :)

The new ones are 809, 810. Mine didnt show because I have a favorites list showing Phil
