    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

Yes, I am most likely going to do the same with my dish. Cables and turnbuckles. Thanx for the photos. My avatar is a photo of my dish. Today I did turn the dish on the pole a little and re-peaked it. I did gain some signal on all satellites.

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

I did tweak the dish a bit too. I now get clean scans on all transponders. Before I had several fail. But, I still have breakups on a few channels. Also found a new channel. called THIStv NETWORK. Could it be my LNB? It is an old one and it is 45 degree. The signal; quality is bouncing all over...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

OK, I have a 10 foot button hook dish. I just ran fishing line across the face in perpendicular directions and find that the lines cross about 3/8" from each other. I computed the focal depth and corrected where the feed was set. I got a boost in signal by doing this. On NASA HD channel I get...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

I tried both frequencies and symbol rates and still got nothing. Signal level was also non-existent. Others give me signal 85% with quality 45 with some 83% and 71 quality. This is with my dish peaked on the sat.

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

OK, I just did something different. Before i was quoting signal levels found in the motor setup menu item. I went to the TP list and my signal levels are up to 87% with quality at about 78%. So, I guess my dish is not as bad as I thought it was. I am scanning on AMC 3 now at 87 degrees. I find...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

OK, so I guess I am going to check everything on my dish. Check for warpage, make sure the focal length is correct and that the LNB is aimed right at the center of the dish. I have even thought about stabilizing the feedhorn by installing cables and turnbuckles. I am sure that, with levels at...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

I got my RS-1933 yesterday and I have been able to play with it some. I have found and added a few more satellites using it. I find that my 922 tells me that I have a signal level of 90-100 but the RS-1933 never shows more than 45%. I do have a good picture on the channels it finds. I will have...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

I placed my order for the RS-1933 on Saturday morning. I see that my card still has not been charged and when I tried calling Skyvision, I got a message that the office is currently closed. Do they have odd days off???? Are they currently shipping these receivers? I replaced my KU band LNB...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

Will these changes talked about be available to people who buy before you implement them? I have an order placed for one right now. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I do have a couple of questions: 1) I have a 10 foot mesh dish with a dual LNB feedhorn that I will be using. I imagine i will...
