I am sorry I didn't explain it clearly. Voom had 21 commercial-free HD channels. Only 10 of those are carried by Dish. Old Voomers call them the "Voom10" as opposed to the original "Voom21". I was referring to the Voom10 on Dish as "Voom-Lite" because only 10 of the 21 channels are there...

No, I don't think it will ever come back. But I am with you -- I liked all Voom 21 originals as they were, and we have decided not to subscribe to "Voom-lite" on Dish. We are happy to rent videos until all Voom 21 are really available somewhere.

The post-Voom choices are depressing. I just visited the Comcast site for our area. No DVR, no HDNet, no INHD. Just a few ho-hum HD broadcast channels. :sleeo Boring! And *expensive* too! More expensive than VaVaVoom for a bunch of commercial-ridden, SD, mind-numbing programming. No way...

I see lots of houses around here with multiple satellite dishes, usually with "Dish" or "DirecTV" logo. I guess they point to different satellites for different channels? I am very surprised that so many people have posted that they saw random Voom dishes while driving!! I would swerve and...

I can't be the only person to buy an HDTV just to get Voom! Without Voom, why would you bother? 8 channels? No HD DVDs yet? 3 or 4 HD networks on cable? Spend $4000 or $5000 for a HDTV when you could wait a couple more years, buy a better model for $500, and get way more HD by then...

Your argument doesn't hold water, Bradley, unless SatelliteGuys.US had made agreements with E* and/or Voom that they would accept ads only from one or the other, but not from both. Then, taking ads from both would be a breach of their agreement. This is just IMO. I am not a lawyer (thankfully).

That is hardly true. Bradley posts a great many in-depth articles on this forum! Sometimes I spot a juicy Voom article and run to the Satelliteguys.US Voom forum to post it, and SHUCKS! Bradley has already beat me to it! Still, I must disagree with Bradley's demand in this thread...
