I was Wrong! Several days ago I reported that I was losing a digital channel due to remapping problems with my OTA. Well -- I guess they fixed it - the mapping now seems to hold properly, and I have the OTA digital channel back!! Thanks E*! Craig

OTA Remapping still broke in 269? I STILL cannot get one of my OTA digital stations to remap properly. The others are fine, but Channel 39 remaps to 6-1, 6-2 and 6-3 (properly) until one uses it, at which point it becomes 39-1 and 39-2. :( Notice I have lost a channel in the process!!! (sigh)...

The adapter appears to be specific to some ATI computer graphics cards, and requires specific software to convert from DVI to Component - not the other way. Remember, DVI is digital, component is analog. Such converters seem to run about $3-400, and I haven't found one to do what you want...

Mookie -- Dish will work fine. Your skew is a function of your location. Look up the skew setting for a E* dish, and use that. Craig

Lost digital OTA :( Even worse here -- Digital OTA channel that was 85% is now gone to the dreaded 49% failure to lock. The first thing I did was to rescan the digital channels to see if the remapping was fixed. Lost a couple of channels doing that. Video output seems better. Craig

Sirius back on FTA Sirius feeds back on FTA -- and sound quality is very good! Craig

You might consider a Free-to-Air system. The music offerings from ExpressVu are MUCH better than either Sirius or Muzak or whatever the supplier TW Cable was using. BTW -- The EPV offerings are not scrambled. Craig

Had an interesting 811 OTA digital experience today. This morning I tried to get my local PBS HD feed - and got the dreaded 49% message. I reset the receiver - no improvement. I waited a few hours and tried again - same story. Then I remembered that I had rotated the antenna about 5 degrees...

I suspect the remote codes on the 811 remote for other products are pretty limited. Certainly, I get nothing with my AVR-3300. Get a good universal remote!. BTW -- I get the same sort of DD/5.1 switching you do. Now, when are they going to energize the "DISH" button on the remote - and...

All Ku band. E*, D*, EPV all are circular polarity. Lots of FTA channels -- but many are in foreign languages. Craig

Just a thought. We were supposed to have 266 by now. I can understand that the date may slip, but I note that there has been NO anticipatory discussion about this release since 265. But there has been some mention of a hardware problem. Perhaps the 266 upgrade won't work without a hardware...

Absolutely go to Remote Central!! More Pronto info than you can ever use. Your Pronto puts out IR -- and the 811 is very happy with IR. Craig

Should work fine. I have a type 2 superdish that I am using with a 301 and an 811. Set up for 110,119 and 121. All come in fine on both receivers. Check out your DP34 switch and be sure you have signals from all three birds. Craig

I was able to "fix" the remote addresing problem by using a blue button IR remote. Rf now works ok too. Craig
