I'm also having the same problem with the CBS-HD east channel on my 811. The wife is getting pretty annoyed.

I called and got mine this morning also. I think I was on the phone for 5 minutes and had the channels. Fasted and smartest CSR that I have every talked to. I am an existing customer.

I've had those same vertical line slice markings also. Reboot fixed it.

My friend has this same problem. It's a Phillips TV. It happened about two software updates ago. He was home at lunch then left for work and saw that the new software was downloading, got home from work that night and it didn't work. He's on vacation now so I can't ask him his model number.

Got home tonite and saw i recieved the update, turned to Discovery HD and no sound. Haven't had this problem in several weeks. Turned to different channels a few times and it came back. Odd.

The E* network installer/tech was just here and fixed my lost 148. He had no idea and had no extra 811 to try. He called E* and the lady to him to swap out my DP lnbs and switch with legacy ones. That's how they were fixing the problem.

I have a 811 and 301 connected through DP21's . One Dishro 500 and Dishpro 300 pointed at 148. No 148 on the 811 but the 301 works just fine. Software version is P263LABD-N and bootstrap version is 1010LABD.

I have the same problem as yrac. Called and got advanced tech and they are sending someone out this saturday to check it out. Watch a software fix come down and fixes this problem right before he gets here. :p

I loose sound with my 811 connected to a JVC RX-DV3SL. Appears to be a random thing. It looks like the JVC switches to DD fine, but no sound. Weird. My settings in the 811 are DD/PCM. roll

I have that same TV and an 811. Haven't experienced that problem. Just the rare loss of audio.

I have the same issue with my 811. Only left channel audio on both Toslink and L/R analog. This is only on OTA analog broadcast TV

Yeh I meant E*. Looks like they just gave me the SD CBS channel. Specificely asks for the HD one. Called lastnite and they told me I wasn't eligable for it. Called today and they said I was. Looks like I'm calling back again. Thanks N0qcu.

Called d* this afternoon and got the LA CBS-HD channel added. Two hours gone by and still doesn't show up in guide. What is the channel number? Have an 811 with usual sound problem. Thanks for any help.
