For me it happens weekly at 1 AM Friday and cuts the Thursday Late Late Show with James Corden in half. I have the inactivity timer set to 4 hours but it never goes to standby on its own. I manually put it into standby every morning ~6 AM for guide download.

I have the same issue. Hopper 3 with v309 and once a week it reboots @1 AM, and I even have a recording scheduled that gets split (Late Late Show with James Corden). Most of the time it doesn't kill too much, but last week I lost the last few minutes of carpool karaoke

Haven't seen anyone post about "missing" fast forward speeds yet. The 4x forward and one of the slow motion speeds (1/15 I think) no longer shows up when using either the 40 or 52 remotes.

Scott, I'm 0 for 3, even tried going through tech support for the last try to figure out the issue. Everything goes through smoothly including taking credit card info until they try to finalize everything and they get a "popup" saying my area can't be done (RI).

I'm in Rhode Island and had the same bad luck - tried via phone and then via chat. Got all the way through scheduling an appointment but then was told "your Dish is not yet compatible with the Hopper 3 and 4k Joey". On chat, I tried to convince them that all they had to do was bring a 1000.2...

Remember that you are going from 2 HWS each with a 2TB disk to a single H3 with a single 2 TB disk. If each of your current HWS hovers near or over 50%, you can use the new disk to keep from overloading and losing shows from the H3.

And don't forget that even after the 7 days, there's a good chance you won't get the auto skip due to the never ending CBS start time delays due to sporting events.

The same reality where the 3 722s I mentioned were all connected through my Yamaha receiver to a single TV in the living room, and a second zone for whole house distro. The hoppers now have that function, and share 2 other TVs with a joey for each. Makes it easy to watch the same thing...

Yes - I used to have 3 722s with three different addresses and was very disappointed after finding out the Hoppers couldn't be changed from IR remote address 1.

I have two Hoppers stacked in my Living Room. The bad news is that Dish no longer has multiple codes for IR remotes, so I only enable IR on one of the two Hoppers. however, they are integrated enough so that I can use my IR Phillips Pronto to watch shows from either Hopper - a dropdown menu item...

Unfortunate, but the answer I expected. It's gonna be a pain enabling / disabling the IR remote each time I want to contrl the other one...

Does anyone know if you can assign anything other than IR code 1 for hoppers? I just got 2 installed, and have been using a Pronto remote for many years. I can't find any options to change the IR code, only enable / disable it. TIA...

I saw this on a non OTA channel recording of Letterman. After it 'ended', I could rewind a little bit and use the forward skip button to bypass whatever was causing the premature ending. Had to do that a few times to get through the hour program...

It was bad enough that I'm now watching the episde from the ABC family website (computer feeds a Samsung 61" DLP). While some online shows have decent quality, this is like watching analog cable! At least it's not dropping out though...

I think it's actually a good sign for Dish. Direct is probably trying to get as many new subscribers into a commitment with them as they can in the next week or two before Dish lights up USA and SCi Fi in HD (fingers crossed...)
