If the market can't support RFD-TV without it latching on to a package and existing vicariously through other strong networks, then let them go out of business. The market will then have a bunch of new channels popup that people actually WANT to watch and pay for.

Honestly, I've grown to hate most things about watching sports. After the NBA, NFL and MLB are done with billionaires fighting with millionaires over money, the sports landscape will look dramatically different, and not in a good way. And that's fine, they could just do it without me.

I had the same concerns you did, but I had a look at the programming available, matched what shows I watched to what they had, saw all of them, plus a few that I missed due to waiting for Dish to get that channel in HD which didn't come SOON enough.

Technically, I NO LONGER have Dish Network since I canceled about the same time the new HD was lit up. I'll be purchasing Apple TV next month after the tax refund.

It's not complicated. If you want sports, go to DIRECTV. Leave DISH Network for those who would rather not have their channels clogged with sports packages.

Not Absolute but I have Classic Silver with HD & Platinum and it's lit up on Channel 141.

I switched to Classic Silver with Platinum HD to get more channels and Turbo was removed from my choices afterward.

I have all but PBS in HD. That's what I'm waiting on.

I may be making the same decision before too long. Dish doesn't have all of what in HD. And got rid of one of the few channels I did watch in Smithsonian (apparently I was the ONLY one who did :D ) and DirecTV is WAY too expensive. I don't follow sports much anymore, I do have the MLB iPhone...
