Is TURBO HD on the way out?

I for one came back to Dish when the Turbo package became available. I don't own a SD tv anymore and the Turbo package was perfect. If Dish does away with it, they better damn well honor my two year commitment that I made to them without forcing me to switch to another, more expensive package...

Here's my solution to the Turbo HD problem...

Well said! I may be in the minority here, but I'm happy with my Turbo. The price I pay sure beats the hell out of what I was paying for cable (programming and equipment). Who cares if I don't get some of the stations that people with SD + $10 HD fee get, you know what, I watch too much TV as...

I thought the app only worked on Wi-fi? Is there something you'd like to share with us?

    Comcast is coming!

I must be the only one who thinks Comcast HD was of equal or better quality. Don't give me bit rates or any other mumbo jumbo, it just looked better. Some things to consider: IMO Comcast DVR sucks compared to the 722, I've had both. The 722 is solid, no freezing, much more intuitive...

Theory- Why only some channels in Turbo?

I agree. If Dish wants to make their Turbo customers happy, just add the SD and HD versions. I don't see any difference as this is how they added Comedy, Spike and CMT. SD versions were added, and then lo and behold, they added the HD versions.

    RSN's in TurboHD only pkgs.

It's not that straight forward. I'm in the Boston market and my Rsn's are not on full time. For example, NESN which carries the Red Sox and Bruins are only on the air for pregame and gametime in HD. If you like their other programming you're limited to the SD version. NESN is HD full time on...

Is DISH adding more markets to Eastern Arc?

Ya, I just really don't want 2 dishes on the roof.

Is DISH adding more markets to Eastern Arc?

Thanks for the link to that article Scott posted. As far as future DMA's being added, it only said that there will be future adds to the initial list. Does anyone have any info on when and what markets will be added? I'm in the Boston DMA and dying to switch back to Dish, just waiting until...

Some details on the 622 from the Tech Portal

Looks like an HDMI cable is included along with an HDMI/DVI adapter. Wonder if this is really the case. I thought I read in the 211 posts that no HDMI cable was included.
