I cancelled dish after not one but 2 busted receivers.. I returned the busted ones to them just the same.. no issues..

Someone explained how to do this.. needed some old lnbs (which I picked up) and some additional parts (which again I picked up) .. and after all that I took my T90 down and switched to directv.. lol.. so never got to use it.. :)

We dropped dish a while ago.. other than directvs dvr is slower than poo rolling up hill in antartica... it's been worth the switch.. signal rarely ever goes out (unlike dish).. directv doesn't throw out updates that f' up our dvr to the point of being useless until their next update.. which...

sweet 200 channels.. 124 regular channels.. and 76 PPV / Part time sport channels! :)

He's allowed to have an opinion.. just like you are.. though it was not wise to blurt out something so offensive, I doubt he meant it in such a way.. I would assume it was meant more in a "what the heck dish, add some new channels everyone can get"..

they were talking about the new gateway idea.. using ethernet/ip to connect any device to the gateway.. very cool stuff..

Dish loses signal far easier than directv.. at least if your in rains alot florida.. the speed of the dvr is 100% true.. directv speed sucks.. however they dont require purchasing a new box to get new features.. directv2pc is freaking awsome!

this has nothing to do with the cable companies.. all to do with content providers.. they make deals to lower prices for some channels if they take other channels as well.. some wont even offer channels (eh hem ESPN) without taking a slew of other channels regardless of if you want them...

my biggest complaint is the directv box is fricken slooooooooow.. super duper sloooooooow.. interace is a little clunky.. but signal is much better than dish.. rain doesn't phase the dish.. and in florida you get a LOT of rain.. a LOT... really.. did I say a LOT.. a whole friggen bunch! :)

these maps will make it easy to see what satellites you can see from your location and approx what size dish you'll need.. I've always wanted that info some where in an easy to search database.. very cool stuff..

funny.. d's boxes have been more stable and less glitchy than e's .. maybe e should beta test a little longer than none what-so-ever.. :)

I worked where we used the ANI as well.. it always comes in on 800 numbers.. ALWAYS..

that's not true.. the retired folks in my area have and are upgrading to hd.. sadly most for sports.. which means directv rather than dish..
