    Cinemax GO

The MaxGo app was retired sometime back, before HBO Max even launched. That definitely has to be some scam. There is ‘technically’ still a MaxGo, but you have to use a browser. I think that Cinemax is on it’s way out as AT&T/Warner moves toward streamlining everything under HBO Max. For all...

    PBS On Demand??

If you donate to your local public tv station, you’ll have access to all PBS content, it’s called PBS Passport. You can stream some content without donation, but all if you make a small one, I think $25 at least it is with APTV (Alabama Public TV).

Charlie thinks DISH and DIRECTV should merge.

I often find CordCutters News to be quite sensational as well, with little real ‘news.’ Not long back they had ‘breaking news’ from 6 months ago about the Nexstar/Tribune merger and some sales of existing stations Nexstar had to sell to Tegna. It’s usually big hype with little real information...

    Media DISH antenna images

The average reader is not going to know a Dish 300 from a 500 from a 1000. Simple fact is it really matters not to the target audience.

Is there any way to get a Hopper 3 without a credit check?

I have a Hopper 3 I’ll sell if he’s interested, it’s practically new, account left in good standing, receiver was owned. I’ll make a good deal, PM if interested. Sent from my iPad using SatelliteGuys

    722k reciever fan going bad

I bet you could find a fan that would fit on Amazon or New Egg for just a few dollars. If I didn’t want to change to the Hopper system, I’d give that a try for sure.

    Install Question - Hybrid LNBF with a Hopper 3 + Hopper 2

Give this a try, when you call, tell the automated system you want to ‘cancel service.’ That should take you to retention, they should be able to help you with that there. Hope everything arrived in good shape. When I had Dish, I had two Hopper 3’s so it CAN be done :) Sent from my iPad...

    Closed account after 20 years

Record number? Dish lost 66,000, Sling gained 214,000 for a net gain of 148,000, but all on the Sling side.

    Dish satellite location vs. HughesNet?

Fiber is awesome isn't it. I had similar speeds last year, with CenturyLink DSL, 4.0Mbps down, 512Kbps up. Our local electric co-op offers fiber here now and over most of the county.

Broadband Internet Over Power Line for Rural Areas

Electricity doesn’t interfere with fiber optics. Here there are many places where power lines, telephone company, cable company, and the co-op’s new fiber all share poles.

Broadband Internet Over Power Line for Rural Areas

My Co-op, Tombigbee Electric in Hamilton, Alabama has did this to about 2/3 of the service area. Ran fiber along all the lines, they even partnered with the investor owned utility that services part of the area, Alabama Power Co. to use their poles. Service is really great, I have 1Gbps/1Gbps...

The OFFICIAL DISH / HBO Thread

Pretty soon Dish nor DirecTV is going to have any channels left, with all these disputes. I guess DirecTV can have the old Time-Warner channels left, if AT&T doesn't get in a dispute with itself. :)

DISH to Become National Facilities-based Wireless Carrier

Our coop took the opposite approach. Many are doing what yours did building out fiber to the substations first. Ours decided to serve their customers first with a ‘people centric’ approach, and then wire the substations along the way.

DISH to Become National Facilities-based Wireless Carrier

I have gigabit fiber from my rural electric coop. It is great, only had access to 4Mpbs down DSL before.

    No internationals in English!

Copyright issues, we exchange programming with the Canadians, British, Australians, all English speaking nations. You’ll never find an ‘International’ Canadian/British/Australian programming service. No such thing. Try an address broker for Shaw Direct (Canadian DBS) if you REALLY want Canadian...

    Dish and Sprint?

Could it have something to do, perhaps, with AT&T and Verizon both having some vestiges of the old Bell System and the surviving RBOCs and their early cellular networks. Sent from my iPad using the SatelliteGuys app!

    Dish and Sprint?

Dish was spun out of Echostar to ‘unlock’ the value of both companies. Issue more shares get more capital and a way to issue more bonds.
