If you donate to your local public tv station, you’ll have access to all PBS content, it’s called PBS Passport. You can stream some content without donation, but all if you make a small one, I think $25 at least it is with APTV (Alabama Public TV).

I bet you could find a fan that would fit on Amazon or New Egg for just a few dollars. If I didn’t want to change to the Hopper system, I’d give that a try for sure.

Fiber is awesome isn't it. I had similar speeds last year, with CenturyLink DSL, 4.0Mbps down, 512Kbps up. Our local electric co-op offers fiber here now and over most of the county.

Electricity doesn’t interfere with fiber optics. Here there are many places where power lines, telephone company, cable company, and the co-op’s new fiber all share poles.

My Co-op, Tombigbee Electric in Hamilton, Alabama has did this to about 2/3 of the service area. Ran fiber along all the lines, they even partnered with the investor owned utility that services part of the area, Alabama Power Co. to use their poles. Service is really great, I have 1Gbps/1Gbps...

Pretty soon Dish nor DirecTV is going to have any channels left, with all these disputes. I guess DirecTV can have the old Time-Warner channels left, if AT&T doesn't get in a dispute with itself. :)

Our coop took the opposite approach. Many are doing what yours did building out fiber to the substations first. Ours decided to serve their customers first with a ‘people centric’ approach, and then wire the substations along the way.

I have gigabit fiber from my rural electric coop. It is great, only had access to 4Mpbs down DSL before.
