well you can always switch to dtv...i did it was the best thing i have done...after having patience for the junk dvr's they sent me...and being a dish sub for 5 yrs....the OLN issue, and i work for dtv now and enjoy free sat tv...so its a good thing....

i agree with dodge's statement..been doing installs for 6 years and i never had a callback on any of my work...i've worked for both companies,d*tv and dish. i think youre just escalating it a bit...not all techs properly trained do this kind of install...i have an avg. of 5-4 box jobs a day...

Ok I think I found a bug with the new name based software I need someone else to try the same thing to see if they have the same result. When I do a search from the search history my 522 will always perform the Hard Drive diagnostic cycle that usally takes aprox 10 minutes to complete then...

alot of rca models stated on the package "compatible with caller id",but when you bring it home and read the book....it has a "notice" included in the package saying "this model does not support caller id".......kinda misleading....advertising.so stay away from rca models.

same here...must of been recently,cause i used the procedure a couple times last week,.tried to go back last night and tape a show for the wife...that i forgot...and she got a half a show.....

i love nbr...got it this morning....nice features...including dish pass ..only played with a little...had to goto work.....but i believe the 522 is still having audio and sync problems...atleast with mine....l2.09 was supposed to have something in it also,for audio/video...what i heard...dont...

as far as i remember you have to hook it up and set up the recording options manually,start your dvr program and hit record on the dvd recorder.......doesnt do much for the term 'automation'..oh well....better than a vcr...

i suggest that you read everything you can on this site before posting something stupid like you did,as we all know the 522 has problems and that those of us who were lucky to get to be testers for the logging software ,i would read ,read and read some more.....as you will find tech support...
