In the last 9 monthes.... I started with dish HD than cable HD than Voom and finally Directv.. By far Voom was the worst ...Directv by far is the best and will remain.. my opinion only D* actually cares abuot their customers, the hands down reason they are the best

got rid of Dish because the Audio was aweful. No DD with my Harman Kardon AVR55. C5 is the 8000 similar to the AVR55 if so can you tell me how you got it set up

I got my 811 about a month ago. The other day I tried to hook up the optical output to harman kardon reciever, but it wouldn't work so I called dish and told them my problem also told them about the problem I have with it updating info all the time so they sent me a replacement 811. Took 2...

Still not working, there is a red light coming out of the cord at the reciever end and the 811 is set up pcm/dd. Just a thought, does the program I am watching have to be broadcast in dd to get audio?

I just got my 811 last week and today i went and bought a optical audio cord for my harmon cardon reciever, pluged it in on both ends switched the reciever to DD optical but no audio any help would be appreciated. chewy

I just sent in my waiver to get distant local, dish told me I need to get another waiver from my local affiliate for HD. She said it has to say "HD Specific" on this waiver to get CBS HD. Hope this helps
