It's not logical!!! would you pay an extra $5 for every computer that's connected to your dsl/cable connection? I highly doubt it. I have 4 computers in the whole house, which would make comcast filty rich havin' an extra $20 fee going back to their pockets. To have a basic landline service...

Best way is to add a wing dish. Your best bet is to add a wing dish for 129 sat. You'll get more signal with a dedicated dish like a 32" Fortec Star parabola using the DP dual lnb attached to it. Trust me, using only 1 dish for multiple satellites is indeed a compromise of signal quality...

it's all about physics. The larger surface you have, the better. higher elevations are less prone to rain fade. There is nothing wrong with upgrading to the largest dish you can find out there. Imagine the size of the SETH parabola in central America. :eek:

lazy figure 8 orbit? am I the only one reading this right? DBS sats has geosynchronous orbits like a full circle. They have about the same speed as the earth's rotation. I do know XM radio do use the lazy figure 8 orbit. DISH & directv are not crazy, so no chance of a lazy figure 8 orbit...

why 38 0f 38 tests? sounds like it's a legacy lnb or something. dishpro lnbs only has 3 of 3 switch tests! Are u using the right equipment? :)

Bell expressvu anyone? With bell expressvu, i'm paying $40 CAD/ month. $25 English programming & $15 fairchild tv. I simply have more bang for da buck. Jadeworld will never be on DISH unless their contract ends with directv. Visit fairchildtv.com and kusat.com for more info.

why not try expressvu/starchoice? With the Canadian systems, they do carry Fairchild TV which contains very similar TVB programs like jadeworld. Fairchild TV only costs $15 CAD compared to $36.99 Jadeworld. Expressvu is echostar 's cousin if u will. They share the same technology...

you have enough power yet? Are you using a power adapter to provide extra juice to the 2 dpp44 switches? Make sure it's running smooth with the power demand. :)

Overheating? Your LNB might be having drift problems. Give DISH a call and ask them to send a replacement for you. Have you checked the diagnostic screen yet to see how much drift you have? :)

DPP separator You would need a DP+ separator for your VIP 622. It's a good idea to use the 1000.2 dish since it doesn't need the DPP44 switch. ;)

Lousy echostar. No wonder their HD quality is low even running in MPEG4. They've got too many junkies like local feeds in their system. I care more about national HD channels like (Discovery, HBO, USA) more than local affiliates. :rolleyes:

Get a 1 Meter parabola! ^^__^^ When you truly want 100% uptime for your DN system, then please upgrade to a larger dish. Ku-band signal attenuation is higher than 4DTV since its frequency is at 12Ghz compared to 4Ghz. You can try the 90CM dish if budget is tight. I recommend Sadoun to buy...

Dishpro LNB is compatible with 36" dish. Use a flat-head screw driver to crack the plastic case open, then it will let you get a hold of its neck. :)

118W is Anik F3. Linear circular polarized. This bird is very special since it's like being in the twilight zone. It broadcasts under the FSS spectrum with circular polarization. ;)

Screw those lousy apartment regulations. You have the FCC. I thought the installers were suppose to do their homework like getting all facts down & clear. The FCC had passed The Telecommunication Act of 1996 to allow satellite dishes up to 39" in diameter to be used in residential applications...
