Picture quality between the two seems to still be arguable here in this forum but a couple years ago when I switched from Dish to Directv, like you, I noticed a huge improvement in pq with Direct. So much better I wonder how can it still be arguable, but I think, for whatever reason, Dish's pq...

As a new customer coming from Direct can you say what kind of offer you got from Dish? I'm on the fence deciding if & when to sign up.

Reminds me of my first H2K install when it just came on the market. It took almost 10 hours over a 2 day period. If it wasn't for this site I probably would've had to house the tech for the week.

And here I was thinking it was a myth he is an active Sat Guy :D....I hope he sees this post but I think he & his team is not only a credit to Dish but to the whole Sat/Cable industry for setting a higher equipment standard & keeping Dish very relevant in this fast changing market.

Although I have some issues about coming back to Dish, reading the excitement here about people getting their H3s make it very tempting. I'll still try to wait it out but I hope Dish gives Scott & his team as much perks possible as this site is a valuable asset for them.
