Check your color temperature under the white balance settings. The warmer the color setting the less saturation.

Sinclair warns of 112 channels being dropped by DISH next Monday (8/16)

I resemble that remark[emoji16] I was in the tennis business for over 30 years. I watched the Tennis Channel on a regular basis. When it was taken off of YTTV last year, I never missed it. I now watch less tennis, baseball and basketball since the loss of this channel and my RSN.

    Calibration of a TV

Vivid is picture mode. Energy savings is a setting that reduces brightness. Both of you are correct. Vivid is very unnatural mode but many use it because of the brightness. Energy savings setting should be turned off at once and never should be bothered with.

Dish Reports a Record Loss of 413,000 Video Subscribers for Q1

That’s good if you can get locals. I can’t get locals even with a really good outdoor antenna[emoji20]

    4K Events Discussion Thread

The point of this announcement by CBS is useless. Why announce what kind of cameras you are using without putting providers in here to take advantage of the 4k. Dumbing down 4k to 1080i is not even close the same.

Strange it is HDR10 on Amazon 4k Fire Tv and HLG on Roku. I had to tone color setting down and use Warm3 but still too saturated. It is a bright pic though. Once the bugs are out I imagine 4k HDR live sporting events will ruin us all[emoji16]

Yes. HDR10. Color is way too saturated. FuboTV 4k is beta at the present time.

Dolby Atmos is the only thing missing. The other 2017 models have this included. As previously stated the picture is the same on all models.

Dish Network Sues Kodi Add-On Library “TV Addons

As someone pointed out earlier this is the Napster in the 90's. The arrest in the U.K. Last year where individuals were arrested for selling loaded Kodi boxes and were found with thousands. Eventually Amazon will take away apps such as downloader and explorer apps so you will not be able to...

    DISH Network SCAM!

Does Dish still call verifying the number of receivers? That's what I thought op was talking about until he mentioned the new dish install. Scary. Sent from my iPhone using the SatelliteGuys app!

4K from FOX on DIRECTV, where is it on DISH?

From my experience the best HDR is none at all. Who wants a dim picture with gamma settings all out of wack[emoji20]

Is 4k worth it. The difference is about $200

Speaking of the LG OLED. Saw it the other day. Same as I remember Farrah Fawcett in the swimsuit poster in the 70s. Drop dead gorgeous[emoji16]

    Dish to unveil 4k?

Setup a 4K projector with Roku 4 or a forth coming uhd blu Ray player and then come back and post[emoji3]

    Dish to unveil 4k?

Not really. 18gbps vs 10.2gbps. Both are high speed but not the same. Longer cable runs(15ft) will be a tad more touchy also.

Is 4k worth it. The difference is about $200

I haven't seen WCG have seen HDR. Yes. HDR will make a big difference but people I have talked to that have seen WCG have said the difference is very big. Most have said once watching WCG material then going back without it makes material very flat.

    Dish to unveil 4k?

Yes. Not all 8550 are10 bit panels. You'll need 10 bit for the future.

    Dish to unveil 4k?

All good points. Only argument I have is the difference between sd to HD to uhd. If your talking resolution yes. Resolution will be the least important part about uhd. The only difference between sd and HD which is big is resolution.

    Dish to unveil 4k?

We will see. I'm betting more people want a better picture at home. HDR and wider color included. Resolution will be the least important for true UHD.

    Dish to unveil 4k?

Yep. No glasses needed. He really needs a pub membership[emoji3]

    Poor Picture Quality

You can change all the settings you want but you'll find out as I did, directv has much better pq. I did the same as you and hooked up one of my directv hddvr and saw at least 30% difference in hd quality. Especially looking at 65" and 106" screen. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!
