    I believe you unfortunately have to cancel your satellite service and return your satellite equipment. Then, you resubscribe through either streamtv.directv.com, or the "via internet" option on directv.com. Apparently, signing up through streamtv.directv.com does not lock you into a contract...

    I believe it has been that way ever since they introduced the Stream app to satellite customers in May 2022. I think I recall not being able to access LMN through the old app, however, when that was still around.

    If you are in one of the markets that have INFO notices for SD local shutoffs, and watch locals through that box, you will need to switch the receiver out to an HD one to continue watching your local channels. You can continue to use it without issues if you only watch national cable networks...

    If you don’t need HD in that area, then you can just have D* take the SD receiver off your account. They likely won’t want it back, so you’d have to recycle it.

    Also, it depends. For me, my Gemini is co-located with my HR44, so the '44 is a headless server. You can also have it replace an existing client, either wired or wireless.
