    Hdmi ?

    I was just wondering, is there any difference in HDMI cables? I can get one from Circuit City for $140 (Monster Cable)or I can get a Phillips for $40? Both look flimsy and neither have screws to keep it attached like on a computer monitor. Is there any difference other than the $100?

    Switching from Dish to Direct.

    I went through the website and got installed yesterday. Got the R15 DVR for $99 with an instant rebate of $99. Scheduled the install online also. Completely no hassel and everything went smooth as a baby's butt yesterday. :up

    Got installed yesterday......

    I switched from E* to D* after being a sub with E* since 1996. I kept asking myself all day Saturday, "Why did I wait so long"? It started with the installer for D*. With E* I lost two days work waiting on installers that never came to fix what they had screwed up when they installed us...

    DVR Question.....

    I'm getting installed 4 Feb and need to know if the coax coming from the wall can be split to feed both inputs on the DVR? Can it be run from a splitter at all? PLEASE tell me I don't need two coax cables coming from the dish! :confused:

    Sign up now and upgrade later?

    No........ What I want to get an idea of is what it's going to cost me to upgrade to HD-DVR when I do get the HDTV later this summer. I don't want to hear I am locked into a contract for X years and can't upgrade at all. :)

    I want to sign up for D* now and plan to buy an HDTV later this summer. Will I be able to upgrade then to HD with no problems? :confused:

    Or wait until 1 March? I had decided to switch from E*, picked up the phone to make the call and thought I'd check the board first. Glad I did!:) Should I wait or will it make a difference? I am getting the HD-DVR when I do sign up.
