AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

Well, I placed my address in the eligibility determination portion of nflsundayticket.tv, and it says my address is available. Now that could be because when we moved here in 2010 a directv installer told us he couldn't get LOS during our install and he logged us as unable to receive it? Or...

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

So technically a Uverse user could get sundayticket.tv, much like mlb.tv as an online subscription?

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

So does this mean that Uverse customers gain access to NFL Sunday Ticket? Or would one still need the satellite service? If so, do you order satellite service through AT&T now?

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

So the obvious question for Uverse users is, do they get access to Directv programming such as NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL Center Ice, MLB EI...etc?

NFL Sunday Ticket 2014/2015 Season - Discuss Pricing/Discounts/Offers

Doesn't the online version absolutely suck? I thought I heard people who have had it have nothing but complaints.

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

It looks like these two spots will be my best bet. Both are on my front lawn. Now it depends on how strict Directv will be with me.

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

Well, after almost a year of terrible service from TWC/Insight, my wife has reconsidered the possibility of having a satellite dish on our front lawn. I'm still not positive that we can't get a signal from the roof, but if a front lawn install is necessary, the wife is willing. I'll be setting...

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

First, you're saying that it has to be an in-house installer who does it, but Joe said in-house doesn't do it? How do I go about this? I assume now I'll have to re-order, after I do do I call directv themselves and tell them exactly what I need? What do I ask for? What would they use?

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

So the wife axed the whole deal today. The installer was willing to do the job, but I guess my wife didn't understand that when I said a pole mount installation, I meant it literally. She did not want a 6 foot pole in our front yard with a dish on top of it. Not sure where to go from here...

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

I ordered online Sunday night and got the Thursday time slot, so I will know for sure tomorrow! Figures it's going to rain tomorrow. Between rain, borderline line of sight, and most likely a pole mount, I'm going to have to do some big time schmoozing!

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

I hope you're right! Since it will be a front lawn install, will they have issues doing a pole mount? Also, it's supposed to rain tomorrow, do they do installs in the rain?

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

Quick update. After playing with the Dishpointer AR app a little I noticed that you really need to hold it steady in one spot for at least 15-30 seconds because it seems to recalibrate a touch. I was curious about that because there was a descrepency between the app and the google earth dish...

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

Will do. Just hoping to throw out some ideas in case the natural reaction of "no way" happens when they first arrive at my house and you see all the trees! I just want them to try. That's all. Put some effort into it. :-)

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

Oh, ok. No, The picture from under my roof would be the farthest left corner possible. So it would be a matter of being above the widest part of the tree which I can't tell unless I'm on the roof. So if you figure the roof has to be at least 20 feet above where I was taking the picture, then...

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

The picture I posted that is above the one I took from below my roof? No. That picture is me standing right by my sidewalk. Anymore to the left and I'm on the sidewalk. If I try to change the angle much more I get very close to my neighbors property line. If I wasn't so afraid of heights...

Here's a google earth dish pointer view so you can see what I'm dealing with on my property. Ignore the tree to the right of my driveway as it is no longer there.

Would I need an independent installer to do a pole installation, or could I get the regular directv installer to do it?

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

I really appreciate you sharing your expertise. Did you get a look at the shot I took from under the corner of my roof at ground level? Do you think from the roof (at least 20 feet up) and maybe with the assistance of a pole mount that I could clear my trees?

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

Actually, I'd be golden with Dish Network via Eastern Arc. If only Directv was also at 61.5, 72, and 77! As far as 103 goes, it looked clear to me there, but you would definitely know better. Still, I thought on a 99/101/103 dish that it points at 101?

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

This first shot is a little bit to the left. Any further left and I'm hitting my sidewalk. The second shot is a view from right under my roof. So if you picture the actual roof being at least 20 feet higher, maybe it works there?

    A Couple Of Installation/LOS Questions

Ordinarily I'd agree but in my case the window that is open is above mature trees, not in between where they would only have to grow horizontally. I don't think these trees are going to get taller quickly. But yeah, I think I'm going to have to plead with the installer to help me out!
