4k channel issue - White line on far right side of screen

Looks like "Overscan" to me. All TV signals have a specific frame and usually each TV displays a picture slightly less than the complete transmitted frame so you don't see any imperfections at the edge of the picture as not all cameras and signal processing are completely accurate where the...

    HR54 or HS17

One consideration would be if you plan on using an OTA antenna, the HS17 doesn't work well with the LCC (Local Channel Connector), where the HR54 will work just fine with the LCC. John

AT&T disappointed with offers for struggling DirecTV

Let's be real. The reason the Multi-channel third party providers are struggled is right in front of THEM within their reflection in the mirror. They simply can't understand it. It's shear Greed. When Multichannel TV service became popular in the mid 70's, CableTV's price was reasonable and...

    Spaceway 1 Satellite Damaged

All of the DirecTV satellites are in Geostationary Orbit, which is 22,236 Miles above the surface of the planet. This means NONE of these types of satellites are Capable of being brought back to the earth. All Geo Stationary satellites are moved several hundreds of miles above their working...

    Second Location

The Genie will power a SWIM LNBF directly, without a separate power supply for the SWM LNBF. The HR24 will not be able to provide enough power for a SWM LNBF, if you connected a Power supply between the LNBF and your HR24 at the second location should work just fine.

    loading guide

I had problems with my SWM LNBF a while back and it turned out to be the power supply to the SWM LNBF. I would guess you have a failing LNBF or the Power supply for it. John

Satellite T8 moving to 119W, T7S to be retired.

New Switch To SD Feature Added During Bad Weather

The reason for HD Duplicates at 101 is because a bunch of DirecTV subscribers like me (Boater) Most of DirecTV subs that are have service at their RV/Boats only have access to KU Band

New Switch To SD Feature Added During Bad Weather

Sure, but there could be KU Band HD Duplicates at 101, of the KA Band Channels for a subset of Core HD Channels from 103, and 99.

    IP address for On Demand

Using DirecTV outside of the US is a violation of your end user agreement, so I doubt the Cinema Connection kit will work with a NON US IP Address. More importantly DirecTV can "SEE" your ip address and will realize your receiver is being used outside of its service area and COULD or will...

    LCC with outdoor antenna?

The LCC only works with the Genie 1 (HR 44, HR 54). LCC will NOT work with all the other DirecTV receivers (HR21, H21, HR22, HR23, H23, HR24, H24, HR34) the AM-21 worked with. John

AT&T’s massive TV losses continue as another 900,000 customers flee.

One of the biggest missing features at Charter (For me) is the inability to have a whole Home DVR, as well as requiring a DVR FEE for each DVR in your home on top of a higher receiver fee for each DVR.

AT&T’s massive TV losses continue as another 900,000 customers flee.

I know I can switch to our local Cable Company, Charter. I currently have just Internet from them at the ridiculously high rate at just short of $80. I could add a TV package and my Internet and TV would be $88 plus taxes (for 12 months),PLUS Local TV charge, and several other Nichol and Dime...

    Signal Strength

There is one more issue that was not mentioned in any of the responses. All DBS Dish's are offset by about 28 degrees, this means the signal is coming from the Satellite 28 degrees MORE, than the apparent angle of the Dish Reflector relative to the ground. I've seen alot of installations where...

    General DirecTV Question

Agreed, most people shopping for TV's, do so on price. This is why the prices have dropped so much recently. I'd love a OLED Set but I really have a hard time spending so much when there are other options (LCD's) with technology which can get me within a very close proximity to a TRULY...

    Test on Boat First

So how many HD channels would be on each transponder? Judging by Dish Networks uplinks from their Satellites, they has between 8-10 HD Channels per transponder. With this said most of of Dish's Uplinks are not being carried in full 1080i. If DirecTV commits to providing MPEG4 HD channels at...

    General DirecTV Question

Bingo, Most electronics are either going to break within the Manufacturers warranty period or last long enough to get your money's worth from the device. Besides when it comes to Electronics when it does break a newer, better, cheaper device will be there to replace it. Case in point I still...

    DirectTV Equivalent for Dish VIP722?

Jeff, DirecTV does NOT have a receiver that can serve two TV's without another client box or a second receiver, sadly you will have to pay a monthly fee for a Second Receiver or Client box. As stated by RAD you can get a GENIE receiver either the HR44 or HR54 which has 5 tuners and you can...

At&t Pay Tv unit under financial fire

Today, Linear TV is a tough sell. In the not to distant future Linear TV will be staging a come back. Streaming is becoming more and more fractured, between more and more players. Currently TV Streaming services is becoming more and more expensive with less and less content. It won't be long...
