one more question regarding getting a C61K. i currently have a mini and would be replacing it with the C61K. will that affect my contract with Direct? i'm about 14 months into a 2 year contract.

been reading about how buggy the C61K is over on the AVS forum. several people complaining about how when you try to change the channel from 106 to another channel it freezes up and you have to reboot. is this a common problem? or just a select few making a lot of noise? i was wanting to jump...

trying to get my ducks in a row here. i currently have HR54 in one room and a C41 mini genie in another. if i get a 4K TV and want to get 4K from Direct, i will need to replace the C41 with a C61K and put the 4K TV in that room, correct? also want to make sure i don't need an internet connection...

Thanks for your reply. So if I add dvrs, they would not be networked with the Genie, right? And when you say 2 more minis would cripple the record capability of the Genie, in what way exactly?

I need to add 2 tv's (in two rooms) to my account. I currently have a Genie Gen 3 and a Genie Mini. Should I go with 2 more Genie Minis? or Wireless Genie Minis? what about the Genie Lite?

i recently switched back to Direct and noticed right off the better picture quality. it's especially noticeable on a 110" screen. the interface is not a big deal to me. the thing i miss the most from Dish is the much better remote control.
