In case you missed it...breaking news from wall street journal

Honestly up here in Boise I’ve seen both direct and dish installers hard at work I kind of find it hard to believe That cable is dying when all these new houses that are popping up you see a satellite dish. Seems to me people still prefer the traditional way of television. Heck my mom’s...

The Future of DirecTV, DirecTV Now, Uverse TV & HBO

After reading all these post here's how I see things. If you want traditional cable service go with Dish or your local cable company. What I'm getting from AT&T is that they are trying to kill off D* and uverse asap and go all in on streaming. I will also not be surprised if they only offer...

    Happy Birthday DirecTV

truth is D* is ridiculously expensive nowadays plus when it comes to the tech Dish easily destroys them. Only incentive I see in having Direct is their sports offerings other than that you'd be better off elsewhere...

    The End of DIRECTV?

I just switched from T-Mobile back to Verizon because T-Mobile has so many dead zones and their indoor coverage in buildings is little to none. Plus once you go out to the country good luck getting service. There is a reason why everybody here in Idaho has Verizon it's the most reliable of the 4...

Directv is imploding and is trying to take Dish down with them.

Same here had DirecTV installed at my mom's new house and about 15 minutes later this girl shows up trying to get me to switch to AT&T Wireless and Centurylink. She even went as far as saying that my Verizon service doesn't include HD which it does and that CableOne internet would be crap at her...

After 24 hours with DirecTV now...

Our plan is 150 megabits and it still buffered and when I checked the channels I swore Telemundo was included for my grandmother which it was not and also another reason why it wasnt going to work. explaining how to work a Roku and app to a 69 year old is actually pretty difficult..

After 24 hours with DirecTV now...

glad I didn't cancel my DirecTV account completely and we are now back on it as the first 24 hours with DirecTV now were a total disaster. Buffering, channels the family couldn't live without, and they didn't know how to navigate the whole damn thing. Safe to say that streaming is not for...

Price increase greetings from the Deathstar

Well it was a hard decision but I finally decided to cut the cord and DirecTV is out at my house. I really didn't want to get rid of cable but it was getting very expensive and our TV viewing habits don't justify paying almost $200. Went with DirecTV now we'll see how it goes...

    DTV Movers Fee

So we finally got approved for a house but I've already moved the direct once this year back in July and it was free but I know I'm probably going to have to pay this time and was wondering if you guys to had an estimate how much I may be looking at?

AT&T's new streaming box offered to Directv Now customers for testing

So where are the DTV cheerleaders that were telling me satellite wasn't going anywhere??? But on a serious note this is disturbing and honestly I'm the kind of person that likes to go home turn on the TV and browse and if streaming is the future I'd rather go without TV period.

    How do you like DirecTV?

Only thing keeping me with DirecTV is sports. From my experience dish has better equipment, cheaper, and was easier to deal with.

I almost switched back to Dish today, but sticking with DirecTV.

OK so I know I’ve been saying I want to go back to dish but I’ve been hearing that they aren’t doing so hot and all these feuds they have aren’t helping at all. I guess what it comes down to is that at moment the only thing they have going for themselves is the hopper and pricing.

I almost switched back to Dish today, but sticking with DirecTV.

Very good points and that’s also another reason I believe that dish has and probably never will add the New York regional sports nets because at this point I’m pretty sure all the NY fans and residents subscribe elsewhere than dish. Kind of curious though if Los Angeles, Houston, and Boston...

I almost switched back to Dish today, but sticking with DirecTV.

After calling D* about canceling and my ETF amount being a little on the high side , looks like I will be staying On D* for the moment.

After 18 years it’s time to Say Goodbye D*

The bottomline for me is I'm not liking the direction AT&T is going in, satellite and wireless wise. One day they say satellite will be staying the next D* Now so good it will replace satellite not to mention they are taking cell towers down.

After 18 years it’s time to Say Goodbye D*

Sadly I don't trust AT&T and they can pull the plug in sat when they want to. Along with switching to Dish i am also leaving AT&T prepaid. I want nothing to do with them anymore.

After 18 years it’s time to Say Goodbye D*

I've said this since the beginning and this year is when AT&T is making it more evident.

I almost switched back to Dish today, but sticking with DirecTV.

I'm returning to Dish and I will be getting league pass and EI through my chromcast possibly center ice as well. RedZone will be just fine for my NFL needs. Another thing I noticed over here at the DTV forum is how salty some of these guys get when you talk about A. Something bad about DirecTV...

Directv to shift away from Satellite?

Well like the rep att said, "they are two different services marketed at two different demographics" but if thats the case why are they putting down one product while glorifying the other.
