Well it was a hard decision but I finally decided to cut the cord and DirecTV is out at my house. I really didn't want to get rid of cable but it was getting very expensive and our TV viewing habits don't justify paying almost $200. Went with DirecTV now we'll see how it goes...

So where are the DTV cheerleaders that were telling me satellite wasn't going anywhere??? But on a serious note this is disturbing and honestly I'm the kind of person that likes to go home turn on the TV and browse and if streaming is the future I'd rather go without TV period.

Only thing keeping me with DirecTV is sports. From my experience dish has better equipment, cheaper, and was easier to deal with.

OK so I know I’ve been saying I want to go back to dish but I’ve been hearing that they aren’t doing so hot and all these feuds they have aren’t helping at all. I guess what it comes down to is that at moment the only thing they have going for themselves is the hopper and pricing.

After calling D* about canceling and my ETF amount being a little on the high side :eek:, looks like I will be staying On D* for the moment.

The bottomline for me is I'm not liking the direction AT&T is going in, satellite and wireless wise. One day they say satellite will be staying the next D* Now so good it will replace satellite not to mention they are taking cell towers down.

Sadly I don't trust AT&T and they can pull the plug in sat when they want to. Along with switching to Dish i am also leaving AT&T prepaid. I want nothing to do with them anymore.

I've said this since the beginning and this year is when AT&T is making it more evident.

I'm returning to Dish and I will be getting league pass and EI through my chromcast possibly center ice as well. RedZone will be just fine for my NFL needs. Another thing I noticed over here at the DTV forum is how salty some of these guys get when you talk about A. Something bad about DirecTV...

Well like the rep att said, "they are two different services marketed at two different demographics" but if thats the case why are they putting down one product while glorifying the other.
