Well I read todays satelliteguys news its officially fixing to be released with the link showing the specs. Lets fact it...unless its free who would want it compared to upgrading to or already having a Direct HD DVR?

LOL! I was refering to everything but that it could record up to 5. Our current setup with Dish is the usual 2, however I am not crazy about it as it can still effect watcher A & B if both wanting to watch a 3rd program.

Hmmmm hasnt Dish had this same setup for a year or longer and no such fees for new suscribers?

Yea me thinks Direct launched this product too late to be competitive with all the other products that are already out there.

If you ask me that's exactly what killed Blockbuster and Hollywood Video and not so much Netflix and Redbox.

How recent are these movies as far as theatre view? I mean if they can give the home viewer the choice of a few current movies showin in theatres at same time it would most certainly be well worth the 30 bucks...Other than that I don't believe it i will be somethng alot of subscribers are going...

Ironic Kind of ironic considering I just watch'ed DTV commercial touting how Dish charges extra fees for this and that of which D says they don't charge for which we all know including Dish is BS and this new feature just proves it also.

Let's face it Bottom line is the TOS agreement that is never read by anyone except for the paranoid is easy for D TV to pass off to the consumer because of all the other bells and whistles that we all only see and hear.

Question? It is working for me although I don't have the right video card to stream it smoothly. My question is though the only access I am getting is the programs I have recorded already. Is this all we have access to stream? Someone also mentioned you could use Vista Windows Media...

I was aware of those Direct recordings i just delete them from the menu but all mine are never more than 5 mins long not 2 hours.

I thought the post said this was a NON dvr as in it is just an HD reciever?

So how does Windows Media work with my dvr as far as viewing pictures or listening to music?

Also agree! I was aggravated with it too since the whole idea of having an HD DVR which we have to also pay an extra monthly fee to record was to be able to record and watch at our leisure, but now they tell us if we record a ppv we are only given 24 hours to view it. I keep several hours...

Hi everyone!! My monthly email newsletter from Direct advertises the gospel music channel 338 as a new HD channel but I am not seeing or getting it in HD. Is anyone else?

Just a heads up but if you also have cable internet and use a voip phone service like Vonage you can connect a phone jack via the adapter and it works just like a landline without having a landline because thats what I use.
