    Judge Bars DirecTV HD Ads

In a way it is a "cable vs satellite" thing. Bottom line, satellite should broadcast what they advertise. If you say you have better HD then cable, then broadcast in True HD form and try to live up to it. If cable operators are broadcasting in 1920x1080i resolution then satellite should to. This...

What do y'all think of this: All that said, UBS analyst Aryeh Bourkoff is thinking ahead to AT&T’s next deal. In a report issued late yesterday, Bourkoff asserts that AT&T could back away from its Lightspeed IPTV project and switch its focus to a satellite strategy for delivering television...

DIRECTV Pulls Jessica Simpson HD Ads

I contacted my Attorney General's Office, so I will see what comes of it. Every state should push to do something about this period, it is false and misleading. If you are in Alabama, go here: http://www.ago.state.al.us/

Senate Panel Calls Hearing on DirecTV's Sunday Ticket Package

agreed even close up the "Philly loop hole" Yes, Greg even this cable man is fair and see it from both sides of the fence, even if your side kick doesn't feel that way. :p As for mark ups, it goes back to every argument about price increases. People don't want it but if they had a choice...

Senate Panel Calls Hearing on DirecTV's Sunday Ticket Package

I understand the "Supply and demand" but DirecTV has even admitted to bidding so high on it to keep other providers from touching it. If the previous contract called said for $40 million dollars and when the term of that contract expired and 4 other providers wanted to bid and for the hell of it...

Senate Panel Calls Hearing on DirecTV's Sunday Ticket Package

But still it doesn't take away from the bidding process here.

Senate Panel Calls Hearing on DirecTV's Sunday Ticket Package

The reason it is so high is because DirecTV bid on it so high to keep other from even touching it. It has nothing to do with "is because it is the NFL package". DirecTV did not want anyone else touching the package and was proud to have it exclusively. They didn't want cable or Dish bidding on...

    little dots in background?

Glad I could be of some help. I get those kind of calls from little ole ladies among others. First thing I usually do is check the levels at the ground block to determine if I need to hit the pole or go in the house. If it's good outside then usually it's something simple inside.

    little dots in background?

I don't see anything here. Try a new jumper if your using the RF output to the tv or trying switching video sources and use RCA jacks or visa versa. If you have any stereo equipment, game consoles, RF modulators or anything else around the receiver and tv or in line between the receiver and tv...

Will Voom ever be carried on DirecTV ?

I think that's one of there down falls, they are too tight lipped for their own good.

Will Voom ever be carried on DirecTV ?

well instead of adding nickle and dime stuff to the SD and eating up more band width, I wish they would resolve the issue now and make it look more inviting for future endeavours.

Will Voom ever be carried on DirecTV ?

I watch some college ball and some CFL but really that's about it. I may tune to playoffs for the world series or super bowl but I am not a die hard sports fan. I don't sit through a season and keep up with stats, etc. I agree, sports does look good in HD. I think they should work on what they...

Will Voom ever be carried on DirecTV ?

Doctor Bob, do you really expect anything anytime soon? A merger is still questionable, not saying it couldn't happen, the FCC has been sending other mergers on through but unless another alternative is up and running or coming soon, I don't know. Now if IPTV takes off and offer even in the most...
