The actual location I would be moving to is only 70 miles (as the crow flies) from present location, just across the SC border. I was thinking it probably would given the relative proximity but i will try and find somewhere I can hook a receiver to and try it. Thanks for the info guys.

Where can I find information on the size of the HD local spotbeams? I live in the Atlanta area and I am considering moving to the Greenville, SC area. Would i still be able to receive the Atlanta locals if I did not change my address with D*?

New DirecTV Commercial Well maybe this guys lawyer should use some of D's commercials against them. I just saw one that claimed their HD programs were broadcast in 1080i. HA that has to be a complete misleading of the customer.

I have had this problem intermittently, but changing the channel and then changing back seems to resolve it. I have not complained to D* about it because I was under the impression this was a know issue with the MPEG4 locals.

They finally showed up exactly at 12:00 and did their best to get out of doing the install. They finally did a roof mount, but have to come back later to install the support arms they did not have with them when they arrived. Their supervisor was supposed to bring the supports arms to them but...

Well I am here this AM waiting for my 4th install!!! I was assured I would be the first stop of the day since they had canceled on 3 previous dates. Guess what it's 11:15 AM and not a word from them as yet. Looks like the 4th time is not the charm either!!!! Going to go with cable this afternoon...

Whom did Robert recommend? Ron's has canceled 3 times on me and I am set up for the 4th try this Thursday AM. If this does not work I will need a backup plan.

They have canceled mine 3 times so far and I have it rescheduled for next Thursday 8-12. So far I have gotten a free upgade + $120 instant credit + $20 credit per month for 6 months and free HDTV package for 6 months. If they don't show next Thursday I will own D* (LOL).

Well Ron's TV just called and canceled again!!!! 3rd time They absolutely are the WORST!!!

The upgrade fee was $99 plus tax bringing the total to $104 and some change.

D* told me today that Ron's TV was the only authorized installer for the Atlanta area. I doubt that is true but thought I would pass it on.

Well I got the call from Ron's TV this AM at 9:30 saying they would not be able to do my install today as they did not have any of the 5 LNB dishs and would not have any till Tuesday. Now my install is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. I hope 3rd time is the charm. Got D* to waive the upgrade...

Well the adventure begins. I checked my order status for the upgrade online and found they were bringing the 3 LNB dish for Monday's installation. I called D* and they had to cancel my order and redo it to get the 5 LNB dish. Now installation is pushed back till next Saturday the 3rd. I did get...

I just called the regular number (800) 494-4388 and went from there. I had to call 5 or 6 times till I got someone who would take a few minutes and I had to explain everything to them.

They did not mention the channels but I assume it will be the big 4 for right now and according to the D* press release Atlanta will be online before the end of this month.

Just got offf the phone with D* and have my install for the 5 LNB dish and H-20 replacement set for the 28th of this month. Took a few phone calls to find the right person but at least it's scheduled.

Has anyone gotten any info from D* about scheduling upgrades? It would appear from D's announcement after the recent satellite launch that Nov. 22 apears to be right or at least close. I would love to be one of the first to sign up :).
