I am sure for some people this will work out fine, but for me, I can be patient and wait a few months and buy the Blu-ray, which has an uncompressed picture (yes even 1080p is compressed on sat) and lossless audio, and actually own the movie forever with all the extras. Seems like a huge waste...

Has anyone watched MGM HD at all? I am extremely interested in this channel, I have Dish and this has not been added as yet. Are they commercial free? Does everything seem to be in true HD-especially the movies? Thanks, look forward to hearing about this channel from someone who has it.

As far as I know, there is no way, as I tried when I installed Sat during the summer. Dish has had many of these channels (not all) for over a month and is promising customers to keep up with Directv. In the past, they have had the channels sooner. They just added this week 8 pay-per-view hd...
