I will definitely be adding Cinemax when the time comes as HBO and its series bore me now. I prefer to have more movies. I was thinking about adding Showtime as well since I own most of the Starz movies on Blu-ray. Problem is, is Showtime still MPEG2? Movie Channel should be MPEG4 though, right?

Anyone know if there are problems with transponders on 101. I am getting multiple channels out on multiple receivers. All other channels from different sats are coming in fine, so I don't think it is dish location. Transponder 12 at 101 comes in at 97 signal strength. Others are around 50. 110...

This seems to be happening on all MPEG4 channels now. I notice the frame rate reduction especially during football on the locals.

CBS in NY has had this problem for awhile. After months of this channel being unwatchable, it seems to finally be fixed. I think D* is still trying to get the MPEG4 stuff all worked out.

I have had the exact same problem with CBS MPEG-4 in NYC from day one. This has never been resolved. After many years, I am very, very close to dropping Directv altogether. After all the hype, MPEG4 is becoming a dud.

I am still having the same problems with CBS in NY. I really don't know if this is a problem with the receiver or dish/wiring? Every other channel comes in fine, even the MPEG channels, although I will have some problems with FOX from time to time. CBS in NYC (MPEG4) is a mess.

I have the problem with CBS 2 in NY. It is intermittent but still a problem since day 1.

I haven't checked but I believe the guide info is getting its info from the actual ABC digital feed, and not mirroring the guide info from the analog channel. I do remember having this problem when I had Comcast as well. I can't get the station OTA, but it would help if someone who could, could...

I'm with Brewer on this. HD aside, there are only a few other channels I watch that would interest me. Then again, I may find myself watching channels I usually don't if there is more HD.

Earthgess, Have you had any problems with your locals. I have sever posterization and blocking on CBS. There are minor artifacts on the other channels, but CBS is just not good at all. I'm not sure if the problem is my installation or D*.

I have all of those problems in NYC and CBS is by far the worst of the bunch. I'm not sure if this is a Directv problem, an alignment problem, etc. I have full signal strength on all 3 sats so I can't see alignment being the problem. I'm not sure others have noticed yet. I would love to hear...

The H20 still shows signal levels considerably lower than other receives. Without looking at my receiver (I'm at work), I know that signal strength on all other receivers is 98 for 100, 98 for 110 and 100 at 119. Since other people are having the same issue, this seems to be a D* issue and not...
