You said it right! I never thought when AT&T bought Directv that the company would change for the worse or at least be as visible to customers as it has. It’s almost like AT&T tried to dismantle Directv just by buying and then knowing the wanted to go in another direction from the onset.

I still haven’t heard if this is a 24 month commitment like the satellite or not. The answer will be telling of how successful this idea is.

5G to the home will be much cheaper since no fiber to home will be needed. The big question is when will 5G be implemented everywhere.

Directv use to only extend contracts due to receiver upgrades. Has this changed?

I’ve noticed that sound dropouts I had on the previous version are now completely gone. It happened on certain channels and my fix was to rewind once and it was fixed. Thank goodness no more of that.

Got the new guide today. I like the layout and channel logos. I can still get to what I want when I want. I don’t use the crappy peanut remote. Seems just as fast as the last UI to me.

My biggest problem with the “next greatest thing in tv technology hdr” is that most people cannot even recognize hdr unless the tv tells that hdr is showing on the tv. I’ve seen plenty of hdr and it has yet to excite me. A cleaner 4K picture with a lot less compression is a lot more noticeable...

You will receive mailers and calls to come back. I’d wait a bit to go to another provider. If your internet is strong enough for streaming, get Sling Tv, PlayStation Vue or a few others for only a month and Directv will be in touch.

I never had feelings good or bad about AT&T until they bought Directv. Having to deal with the current csr‘s has become very painful. I wish they would sell Directv!
