    StarBand Echo*9 121 & Bjirdog Ultra

If I understand Birdog, the Ultra uses a different data set. If you line it up using the Dishnet 121 vertical transponder, you should be close enough to finish peaking with the Skymanage screen. Good Luck

    Help WiFi or Satellite

Try to get the wifi working. If that fails, check and see if you have a Starband dealer locally. Local dealers are usually better to deal with. GL, Eric

    Distribution Amplifier for Internet?

I've used inline amplifiers in one satellite application where the cable run was 250+ feet of RG-6. They seem to work fine for this particular site. The satellite signal is converted (as usual) to 950-1450 mHz at the LNB, so the amp needs to be spec'd for that freq range. I'm not really sure...

My options? (spoiled by cable, moving)

It's easy for me to say "go with Starband" because I'm a dealer. But - They do have American customer support. I have the Nova 1500 and have never run into FAP issues. I don't stream video or do on-line gaming either. Most of my customers who stream set it up to take place after 12AM and watch...

    Is this a ok deal?????

The antennas they use here look like 2.4 gHz. I see mostly panels now, used to see long yagis, but they seem to be going away. Starband is selling hardware now for $99.99 plus shipping ($35). Install is up to the dealer. NH is a little far for me. Plans start at $49.99 up to $99.99...

    Is this a ok deal?????

That's what the local WISP charges here. WISP is almost always a less expensive choice than Satellite. The WISPs in this area don't have FAP and the latency is not there, which are good points depending on your use habits. I still sell plenty of Starband to folks who tried WISP and had a...

    StarBand and Super Buddy

Pops up on my Birdog every time. Maybe the Super Buddy is looking for TPs that aren't hot anymore? Can you update the data in it? GL, Eric

    question about hughesnet and skyfx

If the FAP is an issue, does Hughes count data between midnight and six AM? I know Starband does not. A lot of my customers download movies, etc at night, record and watch later. GL, Eric

    Starband Chimney Mount?

That is probably an Andrew (now ASC) part number. I don't see them available from Starband anymore. Might find one from Tessco or one of the other distributors. Good Luck, Eric

    Hughesnet satellite internet

This is not completely true with Starband. I'm not sure what "a lot of improvement on satellite bandwidth" is, but it is generally true that satellite should not be the first choice over DSL/cable etc for most users. As a Starband dealer, I have zero customers who are unhappy with...

WildBlue vs. Hughesnet - which to sell?

Starband. They'll want to do business. The other two are bogged down with administrative types who impede the small operator from getting going. Just my opinion after experience with all 3. GL, Eric

    Hot mail with Starband

Nothing to do with the repoint. I'm still on Cluster 80 and just got the same message. Looks like MSN/Hotmail has a burr under their saddle. Have you complained to Starband Customer Service? I'm on the road for until Christmas or so or I'd call them.. Regards, Eric

Voice quality is real good on Spacenets latest offering. The delays are a fact of life, customers seem to get used to it. Regards, Eric

    Finding a wireless ISP

Cheaper is not always better. But you are correct that DSL or WISP will perform better. Satellite is really for those that have no hope of getting such service. Low population density, such as here in eastern Maine, will delay entry of DSL/WISP for a long time. Best Regards, Eric
