People don't have to have a HDTV to watch Voom programming and their SD is way better than anyone else. I still have Dish and when I have guests over I always here them remark "I wish I had a HD set so I could get voom" and I tell them that Voom's SD is way better than Dish's and prove it by...

I'd much rather pay more for the picture quality that Voom offers than to pay an increase to watch Dish or Direct, which by the way is coming.

I still say that if Voom had promoted HD content along with SD close to HD quality, they could have accumulated more subscribers. Everyone thought they were strictly a HD provider and you would have to have a HDTV to view their programming. I liked leasing the equipment versus purchasing...

I kept my Dish Subscription on hold with the 5 dollar a month payment and I visit their info channel time to time just to see if the picture has improved, and guess what? It's as fuzzy now as it ever was.

I think one of the problems with Voom's low sub rate was due to the fact that everyone thought they offered only HD programming. If people knew that their SD content looked as nice as it does along with the nice audio, I believe they could have won over more viewers. Voom's SD content...
