I believe that they said no more HD until MPEG4...which would be fall or later. I would be happy if they added UniversalHD, CinemaxHD, TMCHD, and StarzHD.

Let's be real about this. The only advantage that VOOM has right now is the HEADSTART it has over DBS and CABLE. Cable is closing the gap, with many cable companies offering more HD programming than Dish or DirecTv. If VOOM is waiting for the MPEG4 technology, it will be directly competing...

Dish offered me a free 811 with no contract to return. No programming concessions except for HD package at $5 per month for 6 months.

Everyone wants the Voom21....what about TMC-HD, Cinemax-HD, and Starz-HD.....I really want those and don't understand why Dish and DirecTv don't have them.

I think HDNEWS, Rave, and Rush and Possibly Soundstage could be marketed...as for the rest...2 rotating movies do not a network make. To me, the bigger loss with Voom is Cinemax, Starz, TMC HD.

I think 2 announced shut downs have done Voom irreparable damage. If Voom is saved, I'm sure Sears would bolt and how many new customers would have the confidence in Voom to sign up. I'd say it's over.

OK, now that both VOOM.COM and VOOMLLC.COM are showing the shutdown message...what do these people that posted that Voom would continue with their inside information think now? If there is a plan to continue the service, someone needs to let it out...otherwise, I've got to make a decision on...

Even the VOOM LLC website has the shutdown message. If there is a big plan, as many of the posters here have said, somebody needs to spill the beans.

I wonder if we'll see a joint venture...with Voom selling Dish Network and Dish Network selling Voom...must like Dish's deal with SPRINT???

If the meeting was just tonight...I don't see how they could have notified anyone including installers, employees, etc. I wish it looked better, but I will withhold judgment until we hear from Voom. I do find it odd that Newsday is the only carrying this story so far.

Does TYORK have any input on this? I've had Voom for A week and a half :(
