    Some cards do get declined if the CVV information isn't entered. The credit card terminal comes back with a message of "DECLINED CVV". If you enter the card info in with the CVV code, it goes right through. Most credit cards don't currently do this, though.

    Hopefully I will be Vooming again today (as long as they don't cancel my install I should be). I got my 942 late last week, and I was using the ability to pause, rewind and fast forward on live TV yesterday.

    I don't think the receiver knows when the end of the month is if you turn it off and back on (since the time/date get lost without the information coming from the satellite), so how could it stop working at the end of the month?

    Don't know, I didn't have to try to get it.. the CSR told me I could have whatever receivers I wanted for up to 4 TV rooms. I told her that currently I just have 2 TV rooms, and I would like the 942 for one of them. She said ok, I'll send you a 942 for $250.00, and an 811 for free. I guess...

    Same boat here. I scheduled my install on about April 27th or 28th, and am scheduled to be installed on May 10th. Haven't yet received the 942. I hope it comes by UPS today, or by the latest on Monday! Would hate to have to re-schedule the install.

    Yea, they are sending my 942 directly to me, too. I don't have it yet, though, and my install is set for the 10th. When did you set up your install, and get your 942 reserved? I am just wondering when I might be seeing my 942. I set mine up on April 27th or 28th. I sure hope it gets here...

    Any antenna is compatible with the Voom receiver. You just need a high gain directional antenna. There are web sites that list various antennas and list in the description for how good of a distance they are.

    Signing up as a new customer, they didn't chage me the $49.99 or the $119.00 fees, and if I didn't want the 942, they wouldn't be charging me that $250.00.

    Yea, that is probably pretty acurate. I'm sure they will be able to pick up many, many more subscriptions much more quickly than when they were a stand-alone satellite service. Let's hope so! Otherwise, the content won't last.

    The guide info is available from 61.5 as I got it earlier when I hooked up a Dish 6000 to my Voom dish. I saw the VOOM channels listed in the Dish guide.

    I don't think adding it after the install would be a problem. But, in order to activate my receiver, they said they would have to cancel the pending install first, and then because the receiver had been activated, I would no longer qualify as a new customer for the new customer promotion. I...
