***** Big Big Changes for HD Cinema*****ALL MOVIES in OAR all the time

DerrellP, Ya Mitsu's default is to have the contrast max'd out. That was the first things I corrected with a calibration disc. But I still thought the black lines where BAD NEWS on the screen even after calibrating. Thanks for the heads up. For now on I won't bother with the Stretch mode for...

***** Big Big Changes for HD Cinema*****ALL MOVIES in OAR all the time

So Smasuch, What you are trying to say is that you still get black lines on Anamorphic widescreen as well depending upon the OAR. That I did'nt know. So is Anamorphic Widescreen the type of transfer they will be using? It is the best from what I have experienced. Everybody here is saying they...

***** Big Big Changes for HD Cinema*****ALL MOVIES in OAR all the time

I've always been told that Anamorphic Widescreen is the best for HD movie reproduction. Because it Takes the OAR of the movie and fits it to a 16x9 ratio screen. Thus preventing burn in. Is the difference between OAR and Anamorphic Widescreen worth damaging your HDTV?

Voom has no Idea what I'm talking about. And the Mits manual says to go component instead of RGB because the timing...

    Voom and HDMI

Stone Man, are you talking about it's ability to carry voltage for running components? I'm not sure if they are planning on using it that way on audio video applications? There's a good artical comparing it to DVI @ http://www.1394ta.org/press/2002press/august/8.b.htm if anyone is bored. But...

    Voom and HDMI

Where's the firewire? Mitsu claimed the same thing in 2003 with there firewire no DVI or HDMI. I don't think anyone really knows what the standard will be in the future. I think these manufactures need to put all the connectivity possible.

What's your main complaint about VOOM today?

NEED SPORTS!!! Football, Hockey, Baseball. Here in Denver area we lack ABC (unless your real close) until they get done with the tower. Also get rid of the digital cable box and get a real satellite box.

    Voom Charging Sales Tax

What I find upsetting is not the amount of money as much as VOOM not being honest about the sales tax. And when you call their bluff then they just say thats the way it is. They can't give you a valid reason way they are the only satellite company charging sales tax. And They are the only...
