Surprised to see a storm of that magnitude tracking that far North this late in the season. I would advise removal of dish reflectors only, as mounts and motors should not offer enough wind resistance to cause any trouble. This is what I did for Isaac this season and even for Katrina in 2005...

Absolutely correct, unfortunately. Look for a very busy tropical season this summer/fall :( ... Insects are going to be a major problem in the spring and summer as well. We had no freezes in New Orleans this winter. Closest we got was 33 the second Saturday before Mardi Gras.

My yard does the same thing after a period of heavy rains. Unfortunately, it looks like the cool, dry weather is not going to last. There's already a ring around the moon, which means high humidity. Temps are going back into the 60s, so 70s can't be too far off. Might have to start looking...

While driving around this morning, it got so hot I had to turn on the AC to full. I've never had to do that in March, much less January! The warm temps are also causing dangerously foggy conditions on the highways.
