What was the point of leaving them in there? Ciel-2 is not even launched yet:)

Thank you both for the FEC crash course. Back to MHD, it had good selection of HD music shows and was not that repetitive, unless the new Palladia deal changed that.

    Uplink Activity Report - 9/4/8 - 3 AM 94 changes

Can some one give me a quick course on what the benefit of the FEC change? Thanks. I like no logo so the new logo is better, the previous MHD logo was one of the the most disturbing things I have ever had to endure. Now I can enjoy this channel without that much distraction, just hope the...

I heard the weather report was saying on opening day there will be pouring rain, if true that could soak everyone roosting in the Bird Nest but also clean the air a bit:)

So what are those MPXXXs MPEG4 HD channels? Local HDs? Should I have the installer also put up a 148 dish if they plan to add some unique new HDs there?

Just want to confirm, all new non-premium national HDs are in the HD Absolute pack too?

    DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - 5/22/2008 4:09pm - 49 changes

Once the 100+ HDs are up and running, expect a DISH "$30 HD Absolute Deal" blitz aimed at all cable and OTA subs, maybe even some DirecTV subs. It will turn the quarterly new sub additions around and by Christmas this year prepare to see some real good numbers since a lot more people will be...

Dose that mean taking down VOOM was exactly what was needed to add 20 other HDs? I had been saying this to the VOOMers they did not believe me.

I don't know I have 4 HR21s from D*, have yet experienced any blank recording, in fact a bit less resets were needed compared to when I had two 622s with E*. My HR21's are now finally all networked together, with remote booking, HD VOD download, and next is to add media share to connect to my...

I agree, though I think they will balance the new additions to keep most people happy. Keep in mind what really nailed DISH in Q1/07 was the lack of the new national "free" HDs, and the $30 HD pack is what DISH needs to get back in the game, so this pack will likely continue to get the attention...

    DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - 5/22/2008 4:09pm - 49 changes

If DISH adds 20 new HDs in a month, and apparently they will be in the $30 "HD-Only" pack, I may add this pack back in while still keep my 4-month old D* account. I need one more HDDVR's anyway, if I buy from D* it will be $200, if I get it from E* it will cost $0. DISH is offering me the...

I am sorry I responded to the wrong person. You can just call to delay your D* install by a month or so. Or if your installer is already here ask him to leave before he does anything. You are free as long as your are not installed. If you have already paid for anything, once you cancel...

I agree, a lot of those 20 HDs might be the premium HDs, they sure sell for much more than VOOM:)

    DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - 5/14/2008 1:23pm - 46 changes

My speculation is they need to let them stay for now until they are legally cleared to remove them, and then we will see more new HDs added in their place.

It could also mean that both D* and E* had signed ESPNewsHD carriage agreement, which is not necessarily to carry it on a certain day. I remember when Comcast said they signed some new HD channels two years ago, we still did not have them as recently as a few weeks ago.
