It is quite possible that they may be adding the local Galavision and Telemundo affiliates in Denver. They already added the Univision affiliate last week. Of course, it is hoped that they would add the two Denver PBS HD feeds. We can only dream, can't we? If I remember correctly Colorado...

While this is true, there are people out there who want their PBS locals in HD. The "center cut" used since the DTV transition a year ago has made viewing local PBS stations, worse, not better. While it is nice to welcome KCEC (Univision in Denver) as a new HD channel in time for the World Cup...

At least DISH could have provide the HD national feed for these DMAs. It seems to me that DISH is going to wait to the very last minute to provide an PBS in HD. If they are, then they should go against the wishes of local PBS stations and get rid of "center cut". Ever since the DTV cut over...

Well, at least Denver will get Univision in HD soon. PBS in HD well, that is a different story. Replacing The Weather Channel with another weather channel may be a plus. It seems that averything the NBC Universal has taken over has gone down hill. And The Weather Channel, has been nothing more...

It looks like we may be getting CSPAN3. DISH Earth moved to 295 and NASA took over DISH Earth's spot. TMP43 and TMP44 look like HD versions of shopping/infomercial channels The Indie and Retro moves are probably temporary, because these two channels are going to be removed from 363 and 365...

A couple weeks ago DISH instituted the requirement that if you want ESPN Classic you must subscribe the Sports Pack (similar arrangement for Big Ten Network); there was no reason given for this action. ESPN has plans to change ESPN Classics format to include more live sports, so there is more...

Funny, VOOM was not as bad as some people, including DISH executives, was complaining about. While there was a lot of repetition on VOOM, it offered a number of genres that pleased many people. EPIX is a combo movie channel/special events channels. Essentially, it was to become another HBO or...

Anyone know why EPIX is called "EXPIX1" in the channel naming scheme? As far as I know there is only one EPIX HD channel. At least their web site does not indicate more than one EPIX channel. Though, they do have an option to watch video on demand on their web site. IS DISH planning providing...

In Denver, MyTV (KTVD 20) was activated over the summer. This was done because the NBC affiliate (KUSA 9) owns the MyTV station and runs their newscasts in HD on that channel at 9 PM Mountain Time. The also run Denver Bronco games which air on ESPN or NFL Network so not to pre-empt NBC...

I agree PBD HD would be the best way to go for the interim. However, the PBS stations, though public and non-profit, are acting no different than their commercial cousins. They do not want competition. In this case, those who watch PBS HD will deny the local pBS stations from bombarding you with...
